Bronze plaques are tributes dedicated for the life of a plant and contain a personal inscription honoring loved ones.
Muni streetcar no. 1051 has been dedicated to Harvey Milk. The F-Line streetcar is painted in the green and cream colors from the period when Harvey (a very strong advocate of public transit) was the first District Supervisor to ride Muni on a daily basis.
To the earthquake victims in l'Aquila , Italy
April 6-- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 rocked central Italy early Monday morning, damaging buildings in the epicenter, some 95 km northeast of Rome. The quake seriously damaged historic buildings in the medieval hill towns of the mountainous Abruzzo region east of Rome. The deaths and damage was centered in L’Aquila, a picturesque fortress town at the epicenter, but more than 26 nearby villages were also affected, some seriously. Current Death toll 287.
A new North Carolina Business Court courtroom is located inside the Wake Forest University School of Law in the Worrell Professional Center in Winston-Salem. The dedication ceremony was held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom dedicated the the $6.1 million Valencia Street Great Streets Project and unveiled the final draft of the Better Streets Plan.

Valencia Streetscape project "included the replacement and addition of 76,000 square feet of sidewalk and the installation of pedestrian bulbouts to provide traffic calming, facilitate street crossing and add space for gathering.
Additional improvements included the planting of 106 Brisbane Box and London Plane trees along the sidewalks, new trash receptacles, 69 bike racks, 32 wheel chair accessible curb ramps, 26 roadway scale lights and 46 pedestrian scale lights.
Four Victorian-themed street posts, uniquely designed for Valencia Street and through the San Francisco Arts Commission, were also installed at particular locations. Public art called Valencia Street Post was installed by artist Michael Arcega."
