It is extremely sad to witness puffins resorting to using fishing line to construct their nests. This highlights the impact of human activity on the natural world and the dangerous consequences of littering. The use of fishing line puts the birds' lives at risk and has serious consequences for the puffin and its offspring, including entanglement, injury, and death. It is crucial that we all take responsibility for preserving the environment and its inhabitants by disposing of waste properly and reducing our reliance on harmful materials.
The steam was so intense, I was here for probably twenty minutes before I even realized there was a man in the water.

As a Dane, Mikkel Honoré was racing at home today, in this exceptional prologue of the Tour de France in Copenhagen. Having fallen and derailed earlier, the end of the race must have been quite painful.
Taken @ Frontenac Park. This was taken one week after the last photo of Big Salmon lake. The colors are more muted and the light was fading. But the sky was awesome!
Ich lebe mein Leben in wachsenden Ringen,
die sich über die Dinge ziehn.
Ich werde den letzten vielleicht nicht vollbringen,
aber versuchen will ich ihn.
Ich kreise um Gott, um den uralten Turm,
und ich kreise jahrtausendelang;
und ich weiß noch nicht: bin ich ein Falke, ein Sturm
oder ein großer Gesang.

I spotted this wall in the garden at Rustenberg Wine Estate, near Stellenbosch.
Come and join us with your wall photos on a Wednesday!
To my friend Tio
In the beginning I thought
he leaves me out in the rain
in the pouring rain
and you thought the same about me
I know
but there where some hints
some indications
eventually the rain stopped
just for a moment ?
a change to the better?
I was in the mist
I tried to peer through the fog
and I poked about in a fog
leaving somebody out in the cold
can produce fog
to cut a long story short
I found a valuable friend
or did he find me?
I think we both did the job
and this was good!
Two dedicated fishermen at a public dock / boat launch near Algonquin Park. Despite the rain, these two men were happy to be fishing. At the time of this photo, no fish had been caught...

First dedicated in 1938 at the British Empire Exhibition of that year. Rededicated December 2008. Peace is "a state of harmony; tranquility, the absence of hostility; justice; goodwill/ respect".. Three dedications are visible on this side dating from 1938: Clan Mackay Society, CPOB Airorie Branch, LRU Paisley Branch, and two, smaller, less legible inscriptions: Kate Beaton, and F.E.N.L AD . Sadly, World War II was already breaking out in Asia and Europe in 1938.
The globe atop the base is covered in letters. At least some spell out words. "Shalom" is pretty easy to see in this photo,
Photographer's opinion: We need a lot more peace in the USA and the world in 2026.

St. Vitus Cathedral (Katedrála Svatého Víta), Prague, Czech Republic is a Gothic masterpiece, and for some, the best cathedral in Europe..
The foundation stone was laid by King John of Bohemia in 1344 but it took almost a further six centuries to complete, with the final phase of construction taking place during the period 1873-1929.
The cathedral was so busy with tourists as you would expect, I was very lucky getting these shots as a little later I was told by security that I couldn't use a tripod!!! Phew!!!
A total of 8 Pixel Shift portrait images (the original collage is over 670mb in size) taken with the Pentax K3 II paired with the Samyang 10mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS (Ultra Wide Angle) lens mounted on the Manfrotto Tripod with Manfrotto Pan head 391RC2 and triggered using a Pentax remote,
Stitched together in the Photomerge feature in Photoshop on iMac then a pretty much standard run through in DxO Optics Pro on Mac......so really the image is very similar to the original stills.
This is the interior of the Catholic Church in Our Lady of the Rocks island, which s adorned with Byzantine-style paintings, including frescoes depicting religious scenes and local folklore, and features a main altar made of Carrara and Corinthian marble by Antonio Capellano.
It houses a revered icon of Mary and Christ painted by Lovro Dobričević and contains votive objects, including maritime artifacts and an 1828 embroidery made from silk, gold, silver thread, and human hair, which reportedly took 25 years to complete.
It is unique in every respect and it only conveys the dedication of people, who not only kept faith in God, but also dedicated every piece of art they could learn in their lives.
Taken in Perast, Bay of Kotor, Montenegro
It is Kam aka Tomatoskin in the water, Hock How was also in the water, but was not as close to me.
Just to clarify, I didn't get wet, stayed dry :-)
