Verteran's Day Flag Dedication in West Park (2005)

Given that the water temperature must be close to freezing, I think it takes some dedication to your sport to go out and try fly fishing when the air temperature is in the low 20's. Shot taken at Barton Dam (note the ice in the background) in Ann Arbor.

The Dedication of the Lateran Basilica is kept as a solemnity throughout the world, but the Irish College were especially keen to mark the event in their own parish - just a short walk (in the rain) from the College gates.

After the Strobist meet in St.Louis I hurried my way back home to snag some images at tne dedicaton of the new parish hall where I live and managed to get a few of the archbishop.

These rooms were decorated for the Dedication Ceremony on July 24, 2008.

This photograph was taken during the dedication of the new Veterans' Memorial in Wimberley, TX on Saturday April 21st, 2007.

The new memorial contains a flag staff for each arm of the services, the Stars and Stripes, the Texas Lone Star and a POW/MIA flag.

The event was attended by local veterans, members of the community, representatives of each branch of the armed services and local scout troops number 127 and 104.
