Capt. Collin Kappenman, of Fargo City, N.D., presents individual marksmanship awards near the end of a new bridge in Fort Ransom, N.D., to Sgt. Nathan Bratlie, Sgt. Tyler Goldade, Spc. Sean Johnson and Spc. Grant Baasch Sept. 15, 2012, during a ceremony dedicating the bridge. After the small community's access was destroyed in recent flooding, North Dakota Army National Guard Soldiers constructed a new walk bridge throughout the summer of 2012 as an Innovative Readiness Training project. Kappenman is commander of the 815th Engineer Company. Standing on the bridge is 1st Lt. Cory Schumacher, of West Fargo, N.D., officer in charge of the project, and pictured at right is 1st Sgt. August Honeyman.

Seeing as karate is a solo sport, kids only can be the best as the effort they put in, which makes them try harder. They are their own team and the better they get, the longer they see any results such as a new belt rank. However, it pushes them to keep trying and be their best. Many kids carry this dedication back into school and chores.
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Members of the Pennsylvania State Veterans Commission and residents and staff from the Southwest Veterans Home were among those who attended the Southwestern Pennsylvania Word War II Memorial dedication ceremony Dec. 6. The ceremony included a ribbon-cutting and the unveiling of a plaque that has been placed on the main entrance to the Embassy. The keynote speaker for the event was Delaware Attorney General Joseph R. "Beau" Biden, III. Also speaking were Romanian Prime Minister Mihai Ungureanu, Senate President Vasile Blaga and the Managing Director of Operations for the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations Leo Hession. Young Romanian pianist Mihai Ritivoiu performed as well (Lucian Crusoveanu / Public Diplomacy Office)

Built from a Build Your Own Clone kit, the "Scrambled Octave". This kit is a clone of the rare Ampeg Scrambler. I titled mine "The White Peach" because this effect can be sweet or tart—just like a peach.
