I made this image as a dedication to the family from my home town that were impacted by the Volcano at White Island. My suburb is not a large one and there are always connections with many people affected.
This is the Church of The Good Sheppard at Lake Tekapo, New Zealand. It is iconic for the images taken of it under the “dark sky” the area is famous for. On a clear night you can see billions of tiny stars twinkling and the wonders of a never –ending universe. One that is sometimes hard to understand.
I feel a long way from home at the moment.

It is extremely sad to witness puffins resorting to using fishing line to construct their nests. This highlights the impact of human activity on the natural world and the dangerous consequences of littering. The use of fishing line puts the birds' lives at risk and has serious consequences for the puffin and its offspring, including entanglement, injury, and death. It is crucial that we all take responsibility for preserving the environment and its inhabitants by disposing of waste properly and reducing our reliance on harmful materials.
The steam was so intense, I was here for probably twenty minutes before I even realized there was a man in the water.

Largo da Sé is a charming square lined with orange trees […] and dominated by the city’s impressive cathedral plus a cluster of palatial buildings, including the Bishop’s Palace.
Built on the site of an old mosque following the Reconquest in 1251, Faro’s magnificent Sé Cathedral is blessed with a bold, basilica-like interior particularly notable for its 18th-century Baroque organ and wide nave flanked by exquisite azulejo tiles. Visitors who ascend the bell tower are rewarded with the most breathtaking views of the city’s old quarter, nearby wetlands and far beyond. Google

Praying for Better Days!
As a Dane, Mikkel Honoré was racing at home today, in this exceptional prologue of the Tour de France in Copenhagen. Having fallen and derailed earlier, the end of the race must have been quite painful.
I did an extended photoshooting with my little model...
so you might get to see some more portraits of her ;))
Have a wonderful and peaceful sunday!!!

Two dedicated fishermen at a public dock / boat launch near Algonquin Park. Despite the rain, these two men were happy to be fishing. At the time of this photo, no fish had been caught...

Blood starts to bubble, brain starts to fry
And I'm staring at myself with dilated eyes
Something inside me, spark that just won't die
No matter how hard I pray away, no matter how I try
Well, if we go out, we'll be side-by-side
But Heaven don't need more angels and you just need more time
She says, well, if we go out, we'll be side-by-side
But I just want you here tonight, tonight
World starts to crumble, blade starts to cry
Lilith's wandering in her mind like a ghost in denial
Something inside me, spark that just won't die
No matter how hard I pray away, no matter how I try
Well, if we go out, we'll be side-by-side
But Heaven don't need more angels and you just need some time
She says, well, if we go out, we'll be side-by-side
But I just want you here tonight, tonight
But I just want you here tonight, tonight
Tonight, tonight (Tonight, tonight)
Tonight, tonight (Tonight, tonight)
Tonight, tonight (Tonight, tonight)
Tonight, tonight (Tonight, tonight)
Oh, tonight, tonight (Tonight, tonight)
Tonight, tonight (Tonight, tonight)
Oh, tonight, tonight (Tonight, tonight)
Tonight, tonight (Tonight, tonight)
Tonight
Well, if we go out, we'll be side-by-side
But Heaven don't need more angels and

St. Vitus Cathedral (Katedrála Svatého Víta), Prague, Czech Republic is a Gothic masterpiece, and for some, the best cathedral in Europe..
The foundation stone was laid by King John of Bohemia in 1344 but it took almost a further six centuries to complete, with the final phase of construction taking place during the period 1873-1929.
The cathedral was so busy with tourists as you would expect, I was very lucky getting these shots as a little later I was told by security that I couldn't use a tripod!!! Phew!!!
A total of 8 Pixel Shift portrait images (the original collage is over 670mb in size) taken with the Pentax K3 II paired with the Samyang 10mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS (Ultra Wide Angle) lens mounted on the Manfrotto Tripod with Manfrotto Pan head 391RC2 and triggered using a Pentax remote,
Stitched together in the Photomerge feature in Photoshop on iMac then a pretty much standard run through in DxO Optics Pro on Mac......so really the image is very similar to the original stills.
This is the interior of the Catholic Church in Our Lady of the Rocks island, which s adorned with Byzantine-style paintings, including frescoes depicting religious scenes and local folklore, and features a main altar made of Carrara and Corinthian marble by Antonio Capellano.
It houses a revered icon of Mary and Christ painted by Lovro Dobričević and contains votive objects, including maritime artifacts and an 1828 embroidery made from silk, gold, silver thread, and human hair, which reportedly took 25 years to complete.
It is unique in every respect and it only conveys the dedication of people, who not only kept faith in God, but also dedicated every piece of art they could learn in their lives.
