Snow covered bridge over Cold Spring Creek on the way to Tamanawas Falls on Mt Hood. Shot on a beautiful December day with freezing temperatures that dropped into the single digits before the hike was over.

An unseasonably warm December has left the Mississippi unfrozen (so far), creating this opportunity for a mirror image of the St. Paul skyline and the Robert Street bridge.

Summary composite of the December 2010 lunar eclipse. I used a Canon 5D Mark II attached to a 3" Celestron Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with an adapter. I used Photoshop to composite them. I would have liked the one on the left to have the same amount of its disk illuminated as the one on the right, but clouds were rolling in before the eclipse was complete.

December was a bitterweet month at LFF. Sadly our starting venue, the Marriott, is no longer available to us as it's being turned into an Italian restaurant.
THe Marriott has been a brilliant start venue for the last year and a bit and it's sad to have to move, but we got a professional photographer in to take some photos of the last one, and some incredible group photos outside the Marriott which just go to show what an amazing event Leeds First Friday is.
We helped another newbie on her first time out - Carla. And I met up with my friend Beth - Beth helped me out the first time I ever went, and she doesn't get out much so it was amazing to see her again. And bumped into lots of friends old and new.
All in all, a great night!
