#342/365 Yes! We have rain! Unfortunately I was so slammed at work I didn't have to enjoy it. I did take a break to go outside and take a shot in the rain as it let up a little bit. Hopefully it will rain again soon. I really want to take a portrait in the rain!

Gibbs Gardens closes tomorrow for the Winter - so we made one last trip up there. Surprised to see 6 of these big sulphurs - but I couldn't approach them (no walking on grass) and the light was glary. Still - I wanted to document what could be the LOTY. Then yesterday hubby spotted another Cloudless fluttering thru our backyard. It hit 77o in Atlanta - a record for the day. Should be warm again today.

The backyard visitors spotted our car driving back into the hood this morning after Scott and I ran an errand, of course, Scott couldn't resist grabbing the food and I couldn't resist grabbing the camera.

It is a little shocking to see people riding scooters and motorcycles in late December, but here we are.
A calm and peaceful December evening, before the atmospheric river of rain and wind set in. The shadows were lifted with a 3 shot HDR in Lr.

Taken on Friday - there was a wonderful few minutes when the whole area turned a peach colour as the early sun lit the fog.

December rain kept on pouring
And alone outside, in the streets I wept-
dripping... dripping and falling.
This is from last weekend. We got snow again this weekend, but it was not the magic snow like we had last weekend.

Lucia är en stor del av december men i år ska det vara lite annorlunda, minst sagt! Vilket år vi har haft.... Min dotter ställde upp som Lucia medan min fru var på rökmaskinen och vind uppdrag.

Lucia is a big part of December but this year it's going to be somewhat different, to say the least! What a year we've had.... My daughter kindly modeled as Lucia whilst my wife was on smoke machine and wind duties.
Strobist info: 2 Godox AD200 were used. The main, camera left in a square softbox with white bounce card camera right to fill in shadows. Second AD200 placed behind in a small reflector with blue gel on to back-light smoke. Triggered by wireless remote.
Ed eccomi qua ad usare l'applicazione per cellulari di flickr che trovo molto utile dato che al momento sembra che io non abbia più tempo per prendere in mano la mia reflex, e ancora meno è il tempo da dedicare a photoshop mentre con il telefono, in pochi istanti, puoi catturare una foto che con alcune applicazioni carine diventa perché no.. bella?
alla fine é sempre questione di gusti!
