Our Daily Challenge 14-20 December: There goes my Miracle
All these songs I've never heard of.
Anyway here are some ravaged leaves!
God always has something for you, a key for every problem, a light for every shadow, a relief for every sorrow and a plan for every tomorrow. Let his light bring you joy today!!
Realizing I'm a year and a half behind on posting pics, I'm going to try posting by month, and play a bit of catch up. Presenting December of '16.
While Flickr will always have the most images of each outfit, follow me on Instagram (/secretjess42) to see the latest pics!
WEEK 14 – Closing the Gap (III)
As we step outside, here's one last overview shot of the interior from December 20th. I was happy with how this turned out! Quality-wise, anyway. Content-wise, there's no denying things are getting sadder, what with those store closing sale signs – which we've largely managed to avoid for the majority of this week's photoset, actually – back in full, prominent view, and emptiness growing on the shelving units surrounding them. And of course, things were even sadder on my next visit, just one week later...

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
Red Deer in Bushy Park in December 2009. I was there trying out the Tamron 18-270mm lens that I bought to go to Australia.
Still cant make up my mind about this lens. The good - good zoom range and lens is image stabilised. The bad - lens tends to hunt for focus too much for my liking and severe distortion at the short end.
I don't normally look for reptiles in December. Wall lizards however are worth a go on sunny days during Winter. I saw well over 30 individuals in the hour I was there. Most were juveniles but there were a few adults out basking.
A Flickr Friday submission on the topic "December rain". A daisy in the garden opens after a shower of rain.
i'm grateful for the opportunites there are for her. not looking forward to it, but not dreading it entirely either. i packed some good books and some great snacks.

Sunrise from December 6th, 2011. 46 seconds exposure, 25 minutes before the sunrise, when the colors of the morning sky are at their best. I used a 2-stop soft LEE GND filter to balance the sky and the island.
This is inspired by old childhood memories on my Grandfather Bruce's Farm in Upstate New York.

I didn't get the chance to upload this last night as it was getting late...
But I had a lovely night out with my friend Jackie......
Went up the road for an Indian Curry...
Jackie and I went to school together..
She featured in my very first December Diary...
When I spent a weekend with her up in Liverpool.
She also featured in last year's Diary too!
As an added bonus to the evening...
While I was off in my own little world trying to take a photo....
A face appeared on the other side of the lens..
It was Scott.. a guy I worked with in 1995...
Who I haven't seen since then...
He laughed when I told him what I was doing...
He remembered being in my December Diary in 1995...
I told him he HAD to let me take a photo... for old times sake!
He hasn't changed one bit.
Still that bubbly infectious personality!
It was lovely to see him again! %-)
Here too is a flashback to December 9th 1991...
The original December Diary! %-)
I've been up early this morning uploading these photos...
and am now running late for work!
Promise I'll be back a bit later to catch up with all your lovey images! %-)
Thought I'd try capturing the Christmas tree a different way this time around. Not too sure if I'm a fan of it, but it was worth trying.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Today's Visitors Festive Photograph features West Yorkshire PTE (Metro) Leyland Fleetline 7003 (MNW3P) with Northern Counties bodywork. She spent the majority of her time working in Halifax, where she is seen is this very cold-looking scene, before transferring to WR&P Bingley.

so technically i took these photos on november 30th, but i wanted to include these photos from our trip to the tree farm. it's our annual tradition...and especially fun because our daughter was home from college for thanksgiving break. totally not worried about pictures being taken on a certain day in my album.
Imperial fighter hit by AA fire from the USS Yorktown, December 4th 1993.
Took a break from homework last night and this was the final product.
The midnight hour on December 11, 2011 brought a bright and vibrant halo around the Moon, not even 24 hours after its total eclipse.
Caused by refraction of light in high-altitude ice particles, moon halos are most strongly observed (like this one) when the Moon is at zenith and are personally oriented for each particular observer, like rainbows. In other words, the halo you see around the Moon is yours alone!
This photo was taken from Dallas, Texas at about 12:15 a.m. CST on December 11, 2011. 18mm lens, 3s exposure, f/10, Nikon D7000.
