A welcome addition to the garden list last night. This extraordinarily furry moth is well suited to the winter months.
Before the New Year, I spent a 5-day photo tour of Lake Ladoga.
Photo tour went well. We were lucky with the snowfalls that adorned the forest with fluffy fairy clothes. And, which happens rarely, there was calm for several days, so even on the very shore of the lake and on the islands, usually open to strong winds, picturesque pines stood in the snow. This created a New Year's mood and the ability to shoot successful work. Plus, we traveled deep into Karelia on a forest river with rugged high rapids and majestic spruces along the banks. For a variety of photographic materials, along the way, we found villages and farms with old wooden houses. These houses, powdered with snow-white snow, surrounded by pines unexpectedly turned out to be a painting, like illustrations from northern fairy tales.

Yesterday we could see the grass, today that bit of green is buried by the snow that fell overnight and has kept falling throughout the day.
I think it's supposed to keep on snowing until tomorrow sometime so it looks like winter has finally arrived, so this felt like the appropriate mug to enjoy my morning coffee in today.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Wasn't feeling too motivated to pick up the camera today so I figured I may as well have some with bokeh and the omni filter system to see what I could come up with.
I like the way this turned out, reminds me of a disco ball.

“December is an old friend; it reminds you of the past, together you share some laughs and tears, you feel warm-hearted though it’s freezing outside. But, the goodbye is inevitable. May the memories we share with this friend next year be filled with comfort, peace and Love.”

It's a beautiful and snowy December morning...and already it's Friday again! Time moves so quickly! Happy Fence Friday, my friends, may this last Friday of the year bring you warmth, melting ice and electricity if you're in the far north, and many wonderful photo opportunities. :)
Scott decided to bust out his origami paper this month and made us some beautiful trees for the holidays.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.
