Its been quite a while that I have not taken any photo. Busy with job. 18 December is National Day of Qatar so Qatar is decorated with lights, Flags and banners. This special day forced me to buy NIKKOR 24-70 F/2.8 (N) which was in my wish list for more than a year.
Yes this lens did not disappoint me. I am happy to have this lens.

Whilst visiting the Imperial War Museum, Duxford the unmistakable sound of a Royal Air Force Chinook helicopter could be heard approaching. Stepping outside we watched the aircraft approach and then carry out a series of landings and take off circuits from the adjacent airfield. Unfortunately, the Chinook was too far away with the sun in the wrong position and basically beyond the capabilities of my Samsung A7 phone camera to take a standard acceptable image. However, as you can see all was not lost and I have managed this more dramatic/artistic black and white effort, 2nd December 2025.

So, this is what I ended up with after Dec and Jan. Not too shabby... This pile includes my pre-Christmas shopping spree for some rare stuff, like that (very) unofficial set in the middle - designed, presumably by a LEGO fan, for the Norwegian Guide and Scout Association (they're currently sold out, but they say they'll get new stock in in February. Unless, I assume, LEGO comes down hard on them for using their logo on an unofficial product, without the disclaimer about "not endorsed by...").
It also contains my first LEGO Christmas present for more than 20 years, the Seattle Space Needle set given to me by a mate. I already have it, of course, so I'll be trading it for something else, but it's the thought that counts :)
And let me add, just for the record, that after having built the Parisian Restaurant, I now have a new favourite among the modular buildings. It's stunning - especially the interior.

Wish I could see/feel the snow sometimes though.
Anyhow, I'm back! I think.

Another night view from an apartment near the Jing An Temple area in Shanghai. It's been a lot of smog, fog in Shanghai the last week or so. The quality of air wasn't really good lately. But this new view is my new view of December at this apartment. Really enjoying the night view here! Thank you for viewing and I hope you enjoy it too!
