we came home to another hen gone. poor ladies, we're down to four. connections were made today and i wonder if they will flourish. flourish, that's a word that keeps coming to mind, might be my word for 2013...couple days left to wait, ponder and decide. a lot of work, time, recognition, surrender, forgiveness, starting over, starting new will need to happen. tonight was the fifth day of christmas with 5 golden rings and words on trust. i'll be (working on) trusting the process.

It's often said that full moon is the worst time to take frame-filling photographs because there are no shadows to give it relief. And it's true so I rarely do it - but yesterday evening's full moon was special. First it was a 'supermoon', which is when the moon is at or near the closest point in its elliptical orbit, so it appears slightly larger than usual; more importantly it was unusually high in the sky which helps to minimise atmospherics. The final piece in the jigsaw was the weather, which for once had read the script - and sure enough the 'seeing' was as good as it gets. So with all that, the temptation was too much and here's the result.

Taken at 23:14 which was the precise time of full moon, just because.
