Impatience - for Illustration Friday
I used to hate taking the train to university with the rush hour commuters because they were so impatient.
This sun was in my rear view mirror this morning on the way to work - so I stopped off to capture it.
What I failed to catch was the lovely rainbow which had gone by the time I stopped the car ...
been trying to achieve the trivial task (i set myself) of trying to capture this golden ball in a drive-by for weeks now.
today i succeeded - hoorah!
it's only visible for a moment between 2 buildings as i drive along stamford street on the south bank.
it belongs to a truly dreadfully-ugly eighties postmodern riverfront office monstrosity called sea containers house.
Can you tell which of these three walked away mid-drawing, leaving me helplessly hanging this morning?
I'm unfortunatley not very good at the "visual memory" thing...
There was not a lot of Happy New Year about the snow that arrived on the first Friday of January. This is a picture of the Aston Express Way taken from the Small Lecture Theatre at the Dental School. Not an easy commute today. Congratulations to all of you who struggled in.
It was a pefect morning for walking to work -- cold and crisp, but not brutal; frosty and scenic; with a lovely sunrise, and christmas decorations on the barns along the way. I love December!
And it was a great day, too. There's nothing quite like everyone getting out of work a bit early so we can get a jump on a much-anticipated normalizing weekend.

2011 resolutions, continued: find more interesting subject matter for these photos.
It was a pefect morning for walking to work -- cold and crisp, but not brutal; frosty and scenic; with a lovely sunrise, and christmas decorations on the barns along the way. I love December!
And it was a great day, too. There's nothing quite like everyone getting out of work a bit early so we can get a jump on a much-anticipated normalizing weekend.
