PVC Pneumatics in my vegetable garden. They use them to make plastic tunnels (like a glasshouse). The highlights are my choice, to bring some points in the pneumatics. It was also a very sunny day, i've tried to make them less but it wouldn't work.

Browning weeds in the magic hour light. It's the story of all my walks to work.

The farm stand on my walk to work always has the cutest Halloween decorations. In previous years we've had pumpkin princesses, dapper pumpkin ghosts, and pumpkin clowns. This year they've delighted me with a shocking departure from pumpkins -- mummies!

All that's left of the pond at the farm is a puddle (a bit larger after a night of rain, but by no means restored to a state of pond-ness), but this morning it had one great blue heron and two white birds the same size as the heron. The heron was, as ever, elusive, but the white birds were a bit less camera-shy.

Did you know they made cars? I thought it was just sewing machines.

I have been dreaming for years of being able to walk to work in the snow, and today, on a day when I was going to be the only person in the office anyway, the opportunity presented itself. WOOO! It was so beautiful and serene and like I had the whole world to myself. And then I got into the office, and was cold and damp, and really just wanted to be at home, curled up under a pile of quilts, drinking hot chocolate.

I take a lot of pictures sitting on the el, from the windows of buses, and from the passenger's seat of cars. I was riding the el one night and became fascinated by a line that someone had carved into the plexi window, and the way that it made the world outside seem like a sort of composed landscape. In this photo, the line is dark and clear and particularly expressive.

Sunrise, Coleridge Road, Attercliffe, Sheffield. I'm guessing November 1997

I've been trying to capture the weird, jangly energy that hits me from time to time while driving in rush hour traffic. I didn't want anything super sharp. I wanted motion blur and odd almost-saturated colors. It's like the felling I get right before I have a vascular migraine. Except, fortunately, one never hits.

Taken while waiting at a red light on Summit.

This image is cropped from a photo shot at 5 megs with an hp945. Only unsharp mask was used post -- the watercolored appearance is the result of being taken through the windshield of my Ford Ranger...

Pegs are handy for everything. When and where do you used them? No spicy details, please!! *LOL*

Morning rush hour in the queue for the Barnton junction.

This is what my daily commute to and from work looks like.

A peek inside a TTC subway car. Lots of standing room.

This photo is part of a set.

Just received my zeropergallon patch. I tried the hot iron but the adhesive wouldn't adhese - so I had to get help from LH and stitch'er up.

I've had this bag for 14 years. Purple was "cool" then...now...well, I'm looking for patches for a little decoration.

Train arrives. Board it.

Thanks to everybody who has been putting up with my "on & off" appearances here on flickr!

and all your kind visits, comments and faves!! I so appreciate your continued support! I will try to catch up with you all ...
