Mount Rainier, from the Interurban Trail

It looks like the BMW was at fault. It hit the silver van first, bounced off, losing a wheel in the process - which is lying behind it in the road, before burying itself in the front of a white van (which you can't really see in this view).

I walked to work for the first time in weeks today, and it was delightful. Now that we've thrown off the shackles of daylight savings time, the sun is up bright and early, and the air is crisp and cool, and life is just grand. Of course, thanks to it being too dark to walk in the mornings and me being on vacation there at the end of October, I missed pretty much all of this year's foliage. Of course, it's not like cornfields are long on fall color anyway.

The best part about my walking to work today, though, was that I ended up having to take pictures of an awards ceremony at my department's town hall meeting. Normally they just use someone's dinky little point-and-shoot, but it was on the fritz; thinking I had my p&s with me, I was all, "Oh, I'll do it for y'all!" Then I remembered that all I had with me was the DSLR with 70-300mm lens on it. It was a bit like bringing a howitzer to a knife fight. I got a lot of shit from people for being the douchebag with too much camera. Oh well. I'll chalk it up to team-building.

"daily commute" driving dusk road pavement travel journey wanderlust

Love this truck. It has accompanied me to work several times already. The dog inside is a nice touch.

I see her almost every day. She doesn't seem to smile much.

I was driving to work one day in the right lane and had just accelerated away from an intersection. Wanting to change lanes I quickly glanced over my left shoulder. When I turned back there was an SUV stopped in front of me, waiting for a van to maneuver into a metered parking space. I recall muttering "Oh shit!" as my right front made contact with the left rear of the stopped SUV. I had not quite made it to the center lane. The hood came through the windshield and the air bag deployed. I felt a stinging numbness in my hands as they broke my forward momentum against the steering wheel. The horn blared stuck open and I felt hot liquid spread across my legs. Not only had I just incurred $14000 in damage to my vehicle but I had spilled my hot chocolate as well. Damn! This was not going to be a good day.

"Building The Perfect Saturn"

I enjoyed taking the truck apart and changing its perspective.

The Wicked Witch doesn't melt in the snow.....none the less, she doesn't look all that happy.

This capture was taken in a forrest near Oirschot & Oostelbeers (Two little villages (near Eindhoven) in the province Noord-Brabant - The Netherlands.) It's a great nature-reservation with a fen and mountain named 'ST. MARTENSBERG' and it's located in the area called 'OIRSCHOTSE HEIDE'. The summer isn't over yet and autumn begins his season.

Of course it works perfectly!

this chap spends his time in the window of the dry cleaners on brixton road.

During the "blizzard" I decided that I should take a pair of sneakers for my desk. And I brought my all-stars. This is them in my shoulder bag. Its funny they really look good with work pants.

The drive from home to school takes 15 minutes. I have plenty of time for sketching.

The genius is in its simplicity

So right outside the Kellogg Eye Center, there's this little park. And for some reason, the geese come there in winter to graze. They multiply daily. And someday they will raise an army of darkness to consume us all.

There's usually thumb drive on that clip...

This photo is one of ten that were taken as part of a fundraiser for Photography Center Northwest (PCNW). One will be selected and sold at the fundraising event. Nickelsville is a homeless encampment in Seattle.

I know that Vice own this pub, so really they can do with it what they want. But I do think it's odd how these days events/venues can retain their trendiness whilst having big fuck-off signs advertising things on the walls. It seems that if the product that sponsors is quite cool then all standards about "selling-out" etc go out the window. 333 had that huge advertising space above it. The studenty Foundry, who once refused my payment by card with the statement "We're not plastic people man", had so large an H&M ad along it's side that it obscured it's own name.

Or maybe we're all just a bit more realistic about sponsorship these days, and understand that it's a necessary evil. 2001 was ffive years ago, thanks Naomi Klein. Playstation events, Carling Weekender etc.

I think Superhands sums it up nicely. "No logo on the foam, thanks". And he's a dick.

I look up at the clouds almost everyday. I'm amazed at the beauty God shares with me.

Wow, I think I saw Dufferin station today for the first time in months. I really ought to change the name of this set to "Morning Metro Whenever-I-happen-to-actually-be-awake". These days, I'm usually knocked out until much further down the metro line.

This guy had wonderfully long and angular hands, lightly wrapped around some hardcover book. Unfortunately, couldn't make out the title on the spine though.

My favorite model, she wasn't difficult, posed for me in a very good position.
