BLS Cargo rijdt vrijwel dagelijks een cargobeamer vanuit Kaldenkirchen naar het Italiaanse Domodossola. De trein word in Brühl gecombineerd met een deel uit Köln Niehl Hafen.
Op 17 juli 2017 is de BLS 475 401 met deze trein onderweg naar Italië. Op de foto passeert de volbeladen trein 46240 het dorpje Oberwesel als deze langs de Rhein afdaalt naar het zuiden.

On july 17, 2017, the BLS 475 401 came along Oberwesel with train 46240 to Domodossola.
Il colle Mattarella, lungo le cui pendici si inerpica la suggestiva strada ciottolata che porta ad incontrare i diversi edifici sacri che compongono il Sacro Monte di Domodossola, è ricco di memorie storiche. Ancora oggi, all'interno del parco del Calvario, sono visibili i poderosi resti del castello Mattarella, distrutto nel 1415 dai soldati svizzeri scesi per conquistare la valle dell'Ossola, strappandola al Ducato di Milano. L'origine del castello risale almeno al X secolo, prima che l'imperatore Enrico di Sassonia lo donasse alla diocesi di Novara (1014).
Dopo la distruzione il colle fu abbandonato per oltre due secoli, pur rimanendo vive le suggestioni derivanti dai suoi antichi ruderi: nel 1656 due frati cappuccini del convento di Domodossola, padre Gioacchino da Cassano e padre Andrea da Rho, concepirono il progetto di creare una "Via Processionale" lungo le sue pendici, con una serie di croci che segnassero le "stazioni" della Via Crucis e con un Santuario, dedicato al SS. Crocifisso, che accogliesse i fedeli al termine del percorso devozionale. Era previsto che le croci dovessero progressivamente essere sostituite da cappelle con la rappresentazione plastica e pittorica dei vari episodi della "Passione di Cristo".

The Centovalli Railway (also known as the "Centovallina" or "Vigezzina" in Italy) connects Locarno with Domodossola and is interestingly placed, being the most direct connection between the rail lines of the Gottard and the Simplon. It represents the most attractive route between Lake Maggiore, the French part of Switzerland and the Swiss capital, Bern.
Thanks to the marvellous scenery of the Centovalli and the Valle Vigezzo in which it operates, it serves not only transit traffic but also tourism. The landscape is further enriched by the wealth of tourist facilities in Locarno - located in the Italian part of Switzerland to the south of the Alps and on the south side of Lake Maggiore - and Domodossola, in Piedmont (northern Italy) at the foot of the Simplon Pass.
Er volgenden nog een tweetal RoLa van BLS Cargo. De eerste werd opgewacht op hetzelfde punt als SBB Cargo, voor de tweede werd een aantal portalen naar voren verhuisd.
Met de BLS Cargo 485 012 op kop komt RoLa 43613 Domodossola binnenrijden onderweg vanuit Freiburg naar Novara.

On february 25, 2019, the BLS Cargo 485 012 is about to arrive in Domodossola as train 43613 from Freiburg to Novara.
In the driving snow, BLS liveried Bombardier TRAXX Class 485s, Nos.485 002 and 485 016 are pictured ascending the bank into Mülenen station (between Spiez and Frutigen) leading an intermodal service from Kalderkirchen to Domodossola.
Aufgrund der Bauarbeiten auf der Centovallibahn, verkehren die Züge nicht durchgehend und auf der italienischen Seite verkehren hauptsächlich ABe 8/8 und ABe 6/6. Hier konnte der ABe 6/6 34 auf der Brücke über die Toce kurz vor Domodossola im ersten Sonnenlicht aufgenommen werden.
Viele herrliche Aussichten bietet die Strecke der SSIF und FART von Domodossola nach Locarno.
Hier im ersten Teil erklimmt die Bahn aus dem Ossolatal kommend ab Masera in mehreren Schleifen sowie einem Kehrtunnel bis Trontano an Höhe, um später durchs Vigezzina ins Cenovalli zu gelangen.
Ein Zug fährt hier talwärts und konnte bereits auf mehreren Ebenen beobachtet werden. Der mit einem ABe 8/8 aus dem Jahre 1959 geführte Zug fährt hier bei Creggio am alten Befestigungsturm vom 13.-14. Jahrhundert entlang.
Das Mauerwerk des Turms wurde aus Beola-Quadern errichtet und er bildete Teil einer Kette an Signaltürmen über die gesamte Ebene des Ossolatals. Seine Geschichte steht untrennbar in Verbindung mit den Erlebnissen des Fra‘ Dolcino, dem Ketzer auf dem Scheiterhaufen aus der Göttlichen Komödie von Dante Alighieri. Der Legende nach wurde dieser nämlich im Turm von Creggio geboren – oder ist hierher geflüchtet, da sind sich die Quellen uneins.
Nach dem Foto dauerte es nur noch wenige Minuten, bis die Sonne gänzlich hinter die Berge gesunken war. Im Talboden ist unter anderem die Kirche von Masera zu erkennen, welche einen allerletzten Sonnenstrahl abbekam, während sich im Dorf rundherum bereits der Bergschatten breit gemacht hatte.
Im Hintergrund ist zudem schön der Turm "Campanile e Oratorio dei Santi Fabiano e Sebastiano" zu erkennen, welcher sich schön vor der abendlichen Lichtimmung abheben kann.
Ca 5 Minuten später konnte man den Zug im Talboden unten noch ein letztes mal verfolgen, wie er Domodossola entgegen fuhr.

Ein weiteres Re 10 mit KLV war auf dem Weg nach Domodossola und wurde ebenfalls mit Thuner See abgelichtet.

Fleißig unterwegs sind bereits die Vectron der BLS mit KLV Zügen zwischen Domodossola und Basel. Ein Doppel war hier am Morgen bei Preglia gen Norden unterwegs

Am 6.Juli 2023 stand ich mal wieder am Ochsenturm in Oberwesel an der linken Rheinstrecke (KBS 471). Kurz vor Licht aus kam dann endlich noch ein Güterzug gen Norden:
Im schönsten Abendlicht konnte ich noch die blitzsaubere BLS Cargo 485 009 (Werbelok Die Alpinisten) mit dem DGS 43756 von Crossrail aus dem Terminal Domodossola II in Italien nach Kaldenkirchen mit 1,5 Stunden Verspätung fotografieren.
Rechts zu sehen ist der Katztenturm.
Mit CargoBeamer-Waggonaufsätzen werden auch nicht kranbare Sattelauflieger von der Straße auf die Schiene umgeschlagen.

ABe 8/8 21 "Roma" ripreso nei pressi della stazione di Trontano mentre disimpegna un regionale Re-Domodossola
Op 15 december 2016 vond de officiële opening plaats van Cabooter Rail Terminal Kaldenkirchen. De 'terminal' werd feestelijk geopend met een openingstreintje. LOCON Benelux was eenmalig opgetrommeld om deze dag het rangeerwerk uit te voeren.
Sinds 2017 is er een nieuw shuttle verbinding opgezet door Cargobeamer van Kaldenkirchen via Brühl (waar gecombineerd wordt met het deel uit Köln Niehl Hafen) naar Domodossola, Italië. BLS Cargo zorgt voor aan- en afvoer en het rangeerwerk is uitbesteed aan Rheinhafen Krefeld, die haar 'D I' in Kaldenkirchen heeft gestationeerd.
BLS Cargo 475 405 met eerste Domodossola-shuttle, bestaande uit 4 wagens, is zojuist vertrokken uit Kaldenkirchen.

La prima corsa del mattino Domodossola - Locarno è come d’abitudine effettuata da un ABe 8/8. Per questo lunedì mattina mi reco in una posizione scorta durante i numerosi passaggi in treno sulla linea, con un elemento tipico dei villaggi ticinesi: il lavatoio di Intragna è ben visibile sulla sinistra della foto.
Die erste morgendliche Fahrt Domodossola - Locarno wird wie üblich von einem ABe 8/8 durchgeführt. Für diesen Montagmorgen entscheide ich mich für eine Stelle, welche während der vielen Zugfahrten auf der Strecke entdeckt wurde. Dort gibt es einen typischen Tessiner Dorfmerkmal: das Waschhaus von Intragna ist auf der linken Seite des Fotos deutlich zu sehen.
Am 2.März 2022 stand ich nordwestlich von Hattenheim im Rheingau an der rechten Rheinstrecke (KBS 466) auf der Leiter hinten dem Stativ und im fast Blockabstand rollten die Züge:
Der nächste private Güterzug gen Norden war dann bespannt mit der sehr sauberen 485 011 (Werbelok Die Alpinisten) von BLS Cargo mit dem voll beladenen DGS 43744 den Crossrail für Cargobeamer fährt auf dem Weg vom Domodossola II in Italien nach Kaldenkirchen.
Mit CargoBeamer-Waggonaufsätzen werden auch nicht kranbare Sattelauflieger von der Straße auf die Schiene umgeschlagen.
