CAMP CASEY, South Korea – The Thunder Inn Dining Facility wins the 2nd Infantry Division Commanding General’s Best Dining Facility of the year competition for fiscal year 2014, October 22, 2014 on Camp Casey, South Korea. In addition, Pvt. Danielle Howard, a food service specialist assigned to 6th Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, 210th Field Artillery Brigade, won the CG’s junior chef of the quarter award. Customers waited in long lines in near 100 degree heat in order to participate in the special farewell meal served at the Fort McNair DFAC, honoring the closing of the 106 year old facility July 29, 2011.
Food Service Specialists from the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, serve meals as inspectors from the installation level grade their every move, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, March 19. 2d Engineer Brigade's Gold Rush Inn was recognized by the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson installation commander, Air Force Col. Brian Duffy, for being the best dining facility on JBER during a presentation ceremony Feb. 20, 2014. The 10th Special Forces Group LaRochelle Dining Facility was the runner up for the FY 2015 P.A. Connelly Competition - Garrison Military Category.
The award was presented by 407th Army Field Support Bridgade Commander, Col Allen.
