The Fleetline was introduced late in the 1941 model year as a four-door sedan. In 1942, a fastback two-door "Aerosedan" was also offered. In 1947, the Fleetline made up 71.26% of Chevrolet's sales. For the years' 1949 through 1952 models, the fastback was the only one offered, and Chevrolet dropped the Fleetline for 1953. production was suspended. in 1942 due to World War II, after 110,000 had been made, though several thousand Chevrolet coupes and sedans were produced during the war years for military staff use. In 1945, production for civilians resumed. The original series was produced through 1948.
The Aerosedan was launched initially in 1942 with fastback two door coachwork and a price tag of $ 880. This original right hand drive version was supplied new to a lady school teacher in South Africa
A redesigned Fleetline with reduced body contour and integrated rear fenders was offered for the 1949 through 1952 model years and was referred to as a "fastback" because of its distinct sloping roof which extends through to the trunk lid. The Fleetline during the 1949 to 1950 years also has a lower look than a sedan, with the windshield being one inch shorter in height than a standard contemporary sedan. I passed this little beauty on my way to the shops, I have seen it many times before driving around the city though it’s the first time I have viewed it close up, the owner was nowhere to be seen hence a quick few snaps on my iPhone to archive the moment .

The builder in creating the gullwing doors and clamshell bonnet will have weakened the glassfibre monocoque a fair bit so I hope the deeper boxed in sills helped stiffen things up to compensate!
The Cobra replica is a Pilgrim Sumo and the little black car behind, a Richard Oakes designed Midas Gold - itself a close relative of the Mini-Marcos.
Customised raw lacquer Brompton. Brooks B17 Saddle, Brooks yellow leather full length grips, Brompfication hinges and seat clamp, Brass easy wheels, Tiller cycles alloy chain wheel guard anodised by Steve Anodise, Kettering leather mud flaps and hub cleans, RAW carry handle.
I bought my Brompton at Moose Cycles, London. They also helped with installing some of the mod's like the chain wheel guard which can be a bit awkward. Great shop!

I did this about 9 months ago, been sitting on my shelf for a while and thought it was about time I took a photo.
Spray and acrylic paint.
I acquired these crystal glass things only a few years ago - I was buying boxes of stuff at auctions - for the nice tablecloths and boxed sets of very specific cutlery ... the crystal pieces were bonus extras.
The auction house would often label these lots "Box of Interesting Things" and you just knew they were from deceased estates - and (looking at the style of the Interesting Things) probably from post war migrants. Australia got a lot of migrants from the UK and from southern Europe - Italy, Greece, Croatia, Serbia ...
Over the years I met many - the women often had only a few words of English but they were hard-working, generous women & wonderful cooks, fiercely loyal to their families.
The mugs that Imogen is sitting on (crystal mugs !! a strange concept really) were still in their box - and I suspect that they were a wedding anniversary gift from one of the children - too special to use.
Well, we do use them - and every time I do, I remember all those wonderful migrant women.

Many cars at the weekend VW Festival at harewood House, leeds, UK were customised, this one really caught our eye as we passed it, looked like something out of a movie set.
2 Tiers customised cake for 1 yr old Gal.. top is 15cm diameter and bottom is 22cm diameter (total weight abt 3kgs). Design is from customer's request, she wanted a lil baby gal figurine wearing the same dress (pic emailed to me) with a lil cow figurine as her friend..
I must say I loved the result of the cake.. very sweet and elegant yet the polkadots added that playful themed!! cant wait to do another one of this again!!!

I modded and painted this Nerf Maverick to be suitable for use as a film prop (here's what it looked like to start with). It's also performance modified with air restrictors and dart guides removed. I used 2 coats flat black spray enamel and dry-brushed silver and copper paints over the top, with highlights picked out in gold. I kept the Blaze Orange muzzle cap unpainted for legal reasons, but I've photoshopped one of these images to show what it would look like with a painted muzzle cap. :) Steampunk-inspired, and based on the work of some other very talented Nerf modders.
