This is a photo of one of the earliest photos I took back when I was in elementary school. The original is first photo in an album I created as part of a 5th grade 4-H Club photography program (over 50 years ago!). It shows our family dog Curly relaxing (and looking quite regal doing it, I’d say) in our backyard in Albany, Louisiana.
Seeing this photo reminds me of so many things… not only Curly, but playing on that swing, exploring those woods (now full of houses), mowing the grass, my mom drying clothes on that line, etc.
If memory serves, I took kept with some type of Kodak Instamatic camera.
