This unique flower was in a bouquet I received for a birthday gift. I'm thinking it's a Chrysanthemum but if it's something else, please let me know.
Thank you all so much for your visits, faves and comments. Have a lovely day!
Small pink flowers much like the caps worn by pixies and fairies in the illustrated Enid Blyton books I used to read in my childhood.
For Macro Mondays - Shadow
I tried a few indoor shadow images using various light sources but was not really happy with any of them. So being a sunny day I decided to have a look outside. As I passed our grapevine I noticed the shadow of this tendril on a leaf.
The area photographed is around 65mm (2.6 inches) wide and 50mm (2 inches high)
Happy Macro Monday!
Lots going on at home these next few weeks so I may not be able to comment or fav as much as I'd like to. If it's OK with you, I may just be "fav'ing" for now. Stay well, be safe, dear Flickr Friends!

I have a fascination for bindweed. Not a plant you want in your garden because you won't get rid of it, but I love the way it curls around other plants creating wonderful shapes.
Have a wonderful day everyone!

It is a perennial shrub or tree, very popular in tropical landscaping, which has a woody, erect, branched and thorny stem.
The inflorescences are composed of red, orange-red, pinkish-red or yellow flowers, depending on the variety, all characterized by long stamens. Flowering occurs in spring and summer.
The fruits are of the vegetable type and appear in Autumn.
It should be grown in full sun or partial shade, but is tolerant of light cold, in subtropical or Mediterranean climates, becoming deciduous (loses its leaves in Winter). It is multiplied by seeds.
Some peoples use the plant as a medicinal plant, with anti-inflammatory properties, but care must be taken as it is a toxic plant, including abortifacient.
Thank you for all of the kind comments and favourites with special thanks to those people who helped make this an explore image. If you are new to my photostream as a result of the explore, thank you for stopping by.

We purchased Curly in 2018 as a tiny baby... he's huge and beautiful!!
Yesterday the temps reached 60 and the koi were out of their winter tunnels... It was so nice to see them all looking bigger and healthy... we have eleven Koi right now, after losing two last year...
Today is back to colder temps... so they're back in their tunnels again...

The frost may be a good barber:-) I like a lot the results of its work.

Thank you for all the comments and faves, my friends.
It was a breezy day and took a lot of time waiting for the wind to die down. I took a lot of macro flower photos but only a few are acceptable.

This was the bear that walked up and licked the front bumper of my friend Anthony's SUV... that was a moment :) He is quite the beast one of the largest bears I have encountered. He looks very comfortable not at all disturbed or frightened. What has a bear this size have to be frightened about? I'd say top of the food chain.
