I talked an amish sawyer friend of mine into holding the curly boards for me. Out of some 20,000+ board feet of lumber he cut, I got 146 board feet of the most amazing black cherry around.

In shades of copper and green, a whimsical plant shows off at the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum. The plant with long, slender grass-like appendages standing nearly three-feet tall adapted to the Sonoran climate by limiting water loss through cellular respiration.
