These are the first season version with ears. They are now only made without, but I think you can still be served coffee in these at Kiasma, Helsinki.

Inspired by travel in Ghana, where I saw a child with a large cup by the roadside - in the cocoa bean area but I suspect not drinking cocoa. Two fictitious objects added to balance the painting.

I made these breakfast taco cups out of an old WW cookbook.
I started with rolled flour tortilla dough that I happened upon at our grocery. I cooked the dough in a frypan to make tortillas, then pressed them into custard cups. Then I baked the cups for maybe 10 minutes, to make them set.
The filling is egg beaters [doctored] scrambled with re-heated taco meat. A tablespoon of salsa, a sprinkle of Monterrey Jack cheese, topped with cheddar cheese for color, then put under the broiler.
Yum! They were like breakfast tacos, but with a crunchy shell.
In its 25th year, the Perlman Cup is a golf outing for women and is designed to accommodate beginners as well as experienced golfers. Dedicated to the memory of Bessie Cutter Perlman, the mother of Special Olympics New Jersey, this event honors her commitment to individuals with intellectual disabilities and her hope for a more inclusive community.

Kuksa is a traditional cup, used by indigenous Saami people, who live in the northern part of Scandinavia. I decided to make one for myself to have some Arctic thing. The whole cup was carved by hand with a regular knife and narrow flat chisel. Surface finishing is done by scraping with the same tools and an additional handmade tool - rounded tip chisel, grounded from broken HSS endmill bit. The latter one was used for rounded transition between inner wall and floor surfaces. To improve handling, I made rifling in two areas of the bottom side. The handle was also anatomically fitted to my hands. There are several traditional Saami symbols burnt on cup sides: Eurasian elk, snowflakes, reindeer bull, reindeer herd, blacksmith, raven.
I didn't fill some imperfections of maple wood yet, and I'm also just going to put the oil finish on it.

I managed to grab a few shots from the annual Peirson Cup played at Kildale's wonderful ground.
This was Kildale v Danby's semi-final, where Kildale beat Danby (who have won this trophy for the last 2 years) in a excellent high scoring contest.
I was playing for East Harlsey and we beat Glaisdale in a tight semi-final contest. However in the final, Kildale absolutely walloped us. Never mind it was an enjoyable day.
