Strobist: AB800 with gridded HOBD-W overhead.. Triggered by Cybersync.
Uber cheesey - if I am going to be in explore for the next few days then I may as well take the piss and go for the season of bokeh whole-hog.
See comments for last years shot that inspired this one (although that one was 'shopped as I only had a bridge camera then).

I spent the last morning of 2017 walking up to High Cup Nick, which I've been meaning to do for years. I was rewarded with great views but a lot of disappointing images (and numb fingers). Mostly to blame was the wind that made my tripod vibrate and water drops constantly covering the lens which I only noticed later. But I returned with a few that made the journey worthwhile.

Peziza is a large genus of saprophytic cup fungi that grow on the ground, rotting wood, or dung. Most members of this genus are of unknown edibility and are difficult to identify as separate species without use of microscopy. The polyphyletic genus has been estimated to contain over 100 species.
