Al-Burāq (Arabic: البُراق al-Burāq "lightning") is a miraculous steed, described as a creature from the heavens which transported the prophets. The most commonly told story is how in the 7th century, the Buraq carried the prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Jerusalem and back during the Isra and Mi'raj or "Night Journey", which is the title of one of the chapters of the Qur'an.

We came across these hollow sand "eggs" at the water's edge at Crosby Landing Beach. Each one had a little hole in the end, and most had a larger opening on the side. There was nothing inside, but we figured it was some kind of creature dwelling.
We walked along the shore looking for one that might be inhabited, and finally we found one that had no visible hole. We opened it and found what looked like a tiny developing crustacean.
I have no idea what it is. I would love some help identifying it, if anyone has any info or ideas.
(It kind of looks like the Silkie from the Teen Titans Go! cartoon.)

Had no idea what I would do for today's theme. Luckily it walked right into my office. Literally. Had a heck of time catching this eight inch long alligator lizard once it got behind all the shelves! ha! These things are fast..and so photogenic :-) Got to love that little face!

same day as this
"Nobody knew what the raven would do
If he found it was rain in your hands
Like a dog set on wheels you will lope down the street
From the sound of the scratch in his claws
As the buildings who hide you knew nothing bout time
But an arrow just brushin' your chin
You said, "Damn be this wind it's still movin' on in
To the bones and the bed of my soul."
Strange fishlike creatures with muscled fins that enabled them to make jumps over a meter long. I spotted them on the coastal rocks of St. Gilles les Bains, Île de la Réunion.
Does anyone know how these animals are called?
EDIT: it does seem to be a kind of mudskipper, but a very strange one. I can't seem to find out the exact species.
ANOTHER EDIT, LATER: I contacted an expert in the field of mudskippers (someone who just finished his PhD on the subject) and he told me that these creatures are not mudskippers at all. They are "rockskippers" (Blennioidei: Blenniidae: Andamia sp.), and they are not easy to catch.
