This photograph was taken at the 'Creating My Cambridge - Singing History Concert' on Sunday 8th March 2015.
This was a concert devised by Historyworks in partnership with CaMEO funded by John Lewis where all the performances were about Cambridge’s people and places, past and present, giving voice to local primary school singers, musicians, poets, rappers, storytellers, composers. Participants joined in with songs based on a newly commissioned poem by Michael Rosen about the Fitzwilliam Lions, a freedom rap about the Cambridge abolitionist Equiano, and some funny lyrics written by the Horrible Histories songwriter about the Elizabethan philanthropist, Thomas Hobson of Conduit fame.

We are creating an Art Float for Social Change at Tam Makers, to inspire more people to participate in democracy. Our parade float will reach out to youth and people of color through art, music and technology. We will present this art show on Earth Day, Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades in Marin -- and throughout California this fall, to encourage people to vote in the next election.
Our unique art float celebrates mother earth with a carousel of waving hands, pulled by a giant feathered serpent. Performers will tell stories of hope on a stage decorated with scenes of a better world. Large signs will invite people to speak up and vote! You can pitch ideas for social change on the podium, or have them scroll on the news ticker.
This community art project is created by a team of students and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam High School for hosting this project and to all our wonderful volunteers and art, civic and educational partners, for helping create this float and present it to a diverse community.
We are building this project in March and April 2018, on Thursday evenings from 4 to 9pm -- or Saturday mornings from 10am to 1pm. If you would like to volunteer, please email us at float@tammakers.org.
Learn more about the Art Float for Social Change:
1. Materials: I used my camera with a macro lens.
2. Idea: We knew that Batman and Spiderman were in different verses, but we wanted to be different and create a new story.
3. Process: I centered the two characters and used the rule of thirds to also capture the batmobile.
Exploring Second Life is a wonderful privilege for those who love to travel. Xavier took me to a place where you can swim with dolphins! We ended up dancing above the river rafting land after a long night of exploration and playing with the wings in our freebie files! LOL!
JF Groff delivered a very exciting talk about the birth of the WWW.
This is the prototype of the first web browser ever - ahead of it's time you could say, with styles support and wiki-like capabilities.
The whole www thing was developed at CERN. This app was running on a NEXT computer.

This is my son Tristan's hand, doing what he loves best in our backyard. My first time burning a picture. It's not perfect and the picture I took to create this was a bit off, but I think it turned out pretty nice.
