Try this for fun.
1 .Take a nice landscape image and dupe the background layer and put it in exclusion blending mode.
2. Add a layer mask and make sure the mask is chose and got Filter > Render Different Clouds ON THE MASK. Set layer at about 60% opacity.
3. Add a blank layer and go Filter > Render > Clouds, put in SCREEN overlay mode and make opacity at about 50%.
4. Add a levels adjustment layer and set the left (dark) output level at 30 and the right (light) output level at 230.
It's an interesting start. If you have a bright and colorful image you may wish to reduce it's saturation at bit. In my case I just duped layer, desaturated it, put in color mode at 30% opacity.

This is an original, one of a kind, handmade book written in calligraphy.
This was a project created in a class with Marsha Brady while taking her 2 year certificate program.
It was quite an honor to study under her and it changed my work tremendously.
I created a mood board for the 1960's for a one day brief. I used old beads, bracelets and necklaces and I tie dyed the fabric myself.
These hand pulled screenprints of amazing photos were commissioned by the crew at Brightons biggest and best photography studio 'Create'. Printed by Parliament of Feathers these pieces were handed to the beautiful guests at this weeks launch event. What an event it was!

Created with hand-coded, glitchy image-processing methods such as FTT, interrupted sorting, creation of masks from quantization and compression artifacts, etc.
Creating a place to create is wonderful. However, after I organize my art room, I find I still love to paint at my kitchen table like I did when I was a kid!

Curatorial leaders in the fields of African, African American, and diasporic art gather for a daylong symposium. Through formal presentations, object talks by students, and a panel of alumni, the symposium creates a space to talk about what it means to curate black art today, and how the museum itself is challenged and changed through a focus on works by artists of color.
