I had to look away after taking this snap, the pilot must of been drunk or something as he collided straight into my TV aerial! We are going through the insurance..
The short course of the 10Peaks race in the Lake District held on Saturday 29th June 2013. It started at Swirls Car Park beside Thirlmere and finished at the Crosthwaite Conference Centre, Keswick.
The 10 peaks climbed were:
Helvellyn 950m, High Raise 762m, Bowfell 903m, Esk Pike 885m, Great End 907m, Ill Crag 930m, Broad Crag 934m, Scafell Pike 977m, Great Gable 899m, Dale Head 753m.
There were intermediate checkpoints at Steel End, Thirlmere; Esk Hause; Beck Head; Honister Pass YHA.
The short course was 48kms/30 miles with 3200 metres/10500 feet of ascent and had to be completed within 24 hours; start time was 05:00.
The long course was 73 kms/45 miles with 5600 metres/18400 feet of ascent and had to be completed within 24 hours; start time was 04:00.
The event was organised by 10Peaks (www.10peaks.com) and sponsored by Clif Bar (www.clifbar.co.uk).

A Cumberworth United batter attempts, unsuccessfully, to fend off a rising Birkby Rose Hill delivery, at Cumberworth Lane, during an all-Championship (i.e. second tier) second round tie in the Huddersfield Premier League's T20 Shield Knockout competition. The hosts won, by seven wickets, to set up a last-eight home clash with Broad Oak, another Championship club.

Course: Design Studies/Art 469 Interdisciplinary Studies in the Arts
Topic Title: "Drag Space"
Instructor: Tad Gloeckler, Spring 2011 Artist in Residence
This course looks at the way public spaces gain identity through the activities they contain as much as through form, and the way this process can be manipulated to engage the public in discussion and reflection about issues. Production is focused on a fully realized three-dimensional experience: full scale performance, space, sculpture, installation, and/or environment. Preparatory work includes, identifying issues, creating concepts, drawing and modeling, design process investigation, research about artists and methods of art creation, slide presentations by faculty and students, video presentations, performance and documentation, and gallery or museum visits. The objective of the class is to have students actively participate in the process of creating an experience that is contextually integrated in the environment for which it was developed. Individual focuses within the larger projects could include detailing, writing, video, dance, fabrication, sculpture and performance. Assessment of accomplishments and grading determinations are formulated during intense discussions and studio critiques occurring regularly throughout the semester. Students and instructor interact as a group during these critiques.
