10 of 16 random things: i like the smell of brussels sprouts
Maybe this needs an explanation. Of course i like Brussel sprouts to eat, but when you talk about the smell of Brussel sprouts in figurative way, you talk about people with bigoted views. It's a typically Dutch thing. The term Brussels sprouts smell (in Dutch "spruitjeslucht" comes from the fragrance you found in the houses after too long cooking sprouts. In modern times the Dutch people don't cook sprouts anymore, it's old-fashioned, they cook Italian, fast, slow, Spanisch, Indian, fusion et cetera, it comes from all over the world, modern. When you come in my kitchen you will find simple things like potatoes with gravy, with a small peace of meat (meatball, slavink, tartaartje) and some boiled vegetables (sprouts, common beans, cauliflower). Just the way my grandmother and mother cooked for me. Maybe it's boring, but I like it very much!!
And yes, I have bigoted views. More than people think..

Why do we get red skies ?....its because in the evening, rays from the sun have to travel larger distance and travel diagonally through various layers of the earth's atmosphere due to which colours of smaller wavelengths get scattered...thus, red colour having the longest wavelength is not scattered as much and is thus, clearly visible...

I liked the curviture of the water and the overpowering 'stance' of the clouds.

A cut of Kobe beef glazed with a sticky paprika taffy and studded with roasted squash seeds. Underneath, a milky yogurt sauce with miniature squash seeds. Roasted squash dusted with smoked paprika; fried bell pepper sliver; fried shiitake; and fresh oregano. Sauced with Kobe jus.
Taste: Very good. I'm a huge squash fan. The roasted seeds were wonderful - but the true centerpiece was the smoky, yet candy sweet paprika taffy. This whole dish WORKED. Meaty, squashy, roasty, smoky, tangy and sweet... a variably complex, yet delightfully successful dish. Along with the Yuba and Duck, this was a winner.

A palate cleansing meal closer that “tastes like Christmas” with spruce ice cream, meringue, a log of cashew-chocolate ganache, apricot puree then showered with brown butter powder and tender fresh spruce needles.
