I made a mad scramble for my camera when I saw this Cooper's Hawk perched in a pine tree outside my bedroom window. It flew away as soon as I took a picture. It appears to have a loose tail feather. (June 26, 2014)

I was able to meet a few 'celebrity' types in California, but Anderson Cooper was by far the most impressive. Cool guy, really genuine--I had a total 'fangirl' moment =)
This was at his book signing in West Hollywood--he was so gracious towards everyone. It was cool to be able to thank him personally for the inspiration that he is.
And his book is excellent =)

This is a digital panorama stitched together from five portrait-orientation images. The component photos were taken without a tripod, so there was some weirdness in the stitching that I couldn't quite make go away.
The "original" view of this image is actually significantly downsized for on-screen viewing. You can also see the full-size original.

I had to do some tracking to get to this guy. Every time Id get close he would fly to another tree.

Arbroath shoppers queued on Tuesday, October 29, 1968, for the opening of the town's latest supermarket, Coopers Fine Fare, at 195-197 High Street. First customer, Mrs Taylor, Abbotsford Road, was presented with a leather wheeled shopping trolley by the store manager, Mr G. Lawson. The picture shows shoppers about to enter the premises after the initial rush had died down.

This is my Uncle Max's bio on playbill.com. It's short so it leaves off a few details such as being the inventor of supersizing, creating the concept of bundling, inventing the value meal, coming up with the order by number system, becoming one of McDonald's largest franchisees, being a huge supporter of further education for his employees (amongst many other impressive accomplishments.) I think it's time for me to create a wikipedia page on him. Since I was very young I've been extremely inspired by his humbleness and generosity, not to mention accomplishments.
