Custom silhouette cookies made for a bridal shower. The cutters were made from pictures of the couple by The Victor Tin Works www.victortradingco.com/ There were about 60 of these cookies in total. The bridal shower was an Afternoon Tea - so each guest was receiving an antique tea cup and saucer with a pair of cookies in it as a favor.
Cookie Favors done for a Bridal Shower . Adorned with the Bride and Groom's Initials and a pink daisy.
Fondant and Royal Icing Decorated Sugar Cookies.
Jelly Cookies
2-1/2 Cups Flour
1-3/4 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Cup Butter (2 Sticks, Softened)
1/3 Cups Milk
Jelly (Smuckers or Polaner)
Combine eggs, milk, and butter. Add flour and sugar, mixing thouroughly.
Roll dough into 3/4" balls and place approximately 1/2" apart on cookie sheet. Make a sizeable indentation in each cookie, and fill with Jelly.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are firm and jelly is bubbling.
Yield: 30 Cookies
A few years from now things should look a lot nicer as trees and shrubs grow in. The shared walls between units also improve energy efficiency.
Unfortunately these will probably be filled with people who drive long distances to work everyday. Either that or they will work in nearby tar sands upgrader racilities which means they have to accept a much higher risk of cancer for themselves and their families.
The wedding cookies, with its big colorful box and individually wrapped crunchy bits, was the perfect target for the baby's destructive tendencies. Seeing how much fun he was having we decided to just let him have it, except for the large main pastry.
