The third and final incarnation of the first generation Mustang introduced in September 1970. Again, the revised model grew in size, gaining 3 inches in width in order to accommodate Ford's big block 429 cu in (7.0 L) V8 without need for an extensive suspension redesign. As before there were three body styles: Hardtop (available in base or Grande trim), Sportsroof (available in base or Mach 1 trim), and convertible (no specific trim packages available).
Sportsroof models were available in base configurations in addition to the Mach 1 and Boss 351 sport performance options. The Mach 1s were available with two-tone paint schemes, optional hockey-stick stripes, NACA (NASA) hood scoops (functional on examples ordered with Ram Air), color keyed side mirrors, and additional sports/performance options. All Mach 1 models came stock with urethane front bumpers and an alternate grille equipped with amber sportlights. Though the Mach 1 is often associated with the NACA hood (a no-cost option) and other styling cues, base Mach 1s could be had with the standard hood and the 302 2V engine.
Due to tightening emissions regulations, the Boss 351 edition and optional 429 big block were dropped after 1971 leaving the 351 cu in (5.8 L) variants as the largest available engines for 1972 (and 1973).

The AMC Rebel (known as the Rambler Rebel in 1967) is a midsized car produced by American Motors Corporation (AMC) from the 1967 until the 1970 model year. It replaced the Rambler Classic. The Rebel was replaced by the similar AMC Matador for the 1971 model year. The Rebel was positioned as the high-volume seller in the independent automaker's line of models.
Also new for 1968 was the Rebel 550 Convertible, the last AMC convertible, which replaced the American. The 550 was the base level convertible as the top trim version moved from 770 to the SST model joining the two-door hardtop. The two SST body styles featured more trim and features that included individually adjustable and reclining front seats, as well as simulated air-intakes ahead of the rear wheels. The interiors of AMC's Rebel made extensive use of a new olefin fiber carpeting.

The front looked like a caricature of that of an Aston DB5/6, while the fake license plate is obviously a nod to James Bond. Probably one of the countless British kit cars?
