Company D Soldiers were given 90 seconds at the Weapon Assembly Site to assemble one of three weapons during the Diablos Squad Challenge. Soldiers of the U.S. Army Pacific Contingency Command Post participated in a Disaster Management exercise in Wellington, New Zealand. During the exercise Soldiers set up an Emergency Operations Center, conducted briefings, conducted assessments of water treatement facilities, hospitals and roadways. Soldiers also had an opportunity to tour the New Zealand Parliament, met with VIPs of the New Zealand Defence Force and had a chance to see much of the natural beauty New Zealand is famous for. During the exercise, Soldiers of the CCP worked side by side with members of New Zealand’s Headquarters Deployable Joint Inter-agency Task Force and New Zealand’s Civil Defence.
