Peace is not an absence of war, it is a virtue, a state of mind, a disposition for benevolence, confidence, justice.

讓明天把今天給記住

不是因為孤獨

因為我們追求的專注

不管它起起伏伏

Let tomorrow remember today

Not because of loneliness

But because we focus on our pursue

Regardless of the ups and downs

讓今天把明天變特殊

未必因為滿足

因為我們過得不含糊

從來不曾退出

Let today make tomorrow special

Not because of contentment

but because we live to the fullest

We never quit

Emily is one very lucky dog, a rescue who is now not only in the best home ever, but also gets taken on holiday! She loved running at top speed on the beach and then settled with her paw over her new mum's (my friend's) boot, content to just watch the scene below us from our spot on the dunes.

The red of passion turns to green of contentment.

A portrait of my wife, taken In natural light. The look on her face shows the contentment within. The lovely soft light only compliments her smile.

Ebb and Flow by Ray Vidal

This digitally illustrated mural series is called Ebb and Flow. It is about the constant flow of energy that skateboarders and breaker dancers channel to create something cosmic that can change the course of someone’s life. How these activities can bring you closer to being at peace with one’s own self, realize what is important in your life and how to work hard towards your goals, hopes and dreams.

Skateboarding and breakdancing help you reflect on the present moment in life and where you want to be. Its ebb and flow can teach you to question, learn, listen and trust in each other and learn from our failures, hardships and uncertainties. When you are engaging in the space may it bring you a sense of contentment, gratitude, belonging, knowledge, understanding, connection, safety, self-reflection and feeling of oneness as a community.

A Spider plant flower from Mama's little pot garden (February 2021)

My mom recently asked me to photograph her Spider plant's flowers because they're short-lived. I no longer take flower photos because my old Canon point-and-shoot with super macro has retired. The ones I currently have could not match its ability, despite their having a higher resolution.

When I finished the "photo shoot," I showed her some of the images. They look "good" on the camera LCD, but not when viewed on the PC, so my mom couldn't tell the difference. Her smile looked as though she were proud of the beauty of her flowers.

"If I have a better camera, I could capture the details, Mama," I said. "But my camera can only capture the whole flower, not the details." 😅

No, not one of those 'fed up' sighs. The ones where a little soft breath parts your lips and it's full of contentment.

This was one of those moments in Crowgutter Wood yesterday. I only had the 70-200 with me as I walked Pep. I was on my way back to the car when the Silver Birch caught my eye with the path that led into the darkness. I fired off a few frames, recomposing between each shot. When I reviewed this image I instantly liked it.

I've been watching some YT videos recently by Blake Rudis. I have used one of his PS processing techniques on this, the diamond gradient with some colour grading. Fascinating world and somewhat mind boggling is Photoshop!
