I walk among the reeds, some of them are taller than me. They sway in the wind and hiss with contentment. I gently touch their stems, they are both strong and fragile. Just like you and me. Nothing more, nothing less….

'Contentment' is a macro photograph of an anemone flower on a light box.
I posted the variations on this flower first to see if anyone finds the reality boring after seeing their creative possibilities.

My cat, Mr. Meowzer, always makes me feel cozy and content in the evening no matter what other craziness may be happening in the world.

That's what I feel the people have that live in that adorable house with a deck overlooking one of the tidal inlets in Twillingate on the north coast of Newfoundland.
Our Garden - June 2021
We have been away for a week and hopefully over the next few days I can catch up with all those who visited and commented. Thanks very much for those that did. This is a new arrival in our small courtyard garden which my wife is in total charge of. He fits in very well with her personality. He wishes you all good health in these dark times.
Best regards
Patrick
Content to laze away the hot afternoon.
She has adopted my sister as her care giver after years of fending for herself as best she could.
She now takes her meals and also sleeps in the house and is no longer afraid of human contact.
Last upload for a few days (I have some stuff on the home front that is going to be taking up a lot of free time) but I will try to visit streams throughout the week!

Happy Caturday!

This aquatic toad appeared on my property in the spring of 2023 and always sun bathed on the same leaves near the water’s edge. He soon became very comfortable in my presence and being photographed. The tiny toad has the circumference of a silver dollar.
I saw the toad nearly every day and would approach slowly, talking softly. The dewlap under his neck would start throbbing upon hearing my greeting (a display of joy and contentment.)
While amphibians obviously don’t understand words, if spoken to with a gentle, musical voice, some can sense intention and emotion in the tonalities. Within the same species, one encounters different personalities exhibiting varying levels of sensitivity.
The photo was taken with the camera eighteen inches from my little friend.
