We curse and lament about not having enough money, not having the right job, not getting the right breaks. We are sure we need all of that to be happy. The cobbler is happy. The old man is content. How can that be? Surely, money buys happiness?!

It's snowing heavily as I post this, Kat is content to remain indoors.

Its not often i get sentimental, but this picture I dedicate to life new, and to those who have passed.

Another New Hampshire lake, this time with clear water and a sandy bottom. Four of us shared two kayaks - those who were not paddling could hike the shoreline on a wooded trail. This state is full of places to explore!

That's one daughter out there, photographing the shoreline of this little sandy bay.

Was neat to watch a Barrow's Goldeneye couple swimming and snacking and enjoying one another's company.

Even with all of life's lines and curves, never forget that "contentment is the greatest wealth." Enjoy the journey! Just Breathe : )

Mist, happy with her lot .. for the moment anyway!

Asleep on my lap - Bella’s favourite place. An obvious choice for the “happiness” theme, as Bella makes me happy.

All three kitties have appreciated the regularity of my new work schedule and the fact that I am at home through the morning and early afternoon. Sundae especially enjoys cuddling after breakfast.

The squirrels are very happy that I bring walnuts that have been removed from their shells. Even though they are capable of breaking open the shells, it is hard work and they are much happier with the nuts arriving unshelled.

This sheep and the rest of the flock make good use of this fence. They rub against it to get rid of loose wool and take care of a hard to reach itch. :-) HFF!
