A detail of a sculpture of Dzerzhinsky at the Gallery of Socrealism at the Zamoyskis Museum in Kozlowka, Poland
Looking out over Loch Arkaig. What could be described as "The middle of nowhere", but worth visiting for the peace.
My boss, girlfriend and I went out to do promo shoot for a windsurfing magazine. It was pretty fun pulling out my wireless hotshoe flashes again. It's been a while since I played with them. I've been spoiled using alienbees. Hmph!
The wind was heavy and I had my girlfriend weigh down one of the stands. We had to do this in a matter of minutes because a huge rain cloud was rolling in and we were about 5 minutes away from the car...
I think the shots turned out pretty nice and we didn't get wet. On top of that, my boss Dustin treated us to some tastey donuts afterwards. :D

"O God, who in this season
give your Church the grace
to imitate devoutly the Blessed Virgin Mary
in contemplating the Passion of Christ,
grant, we pray, through her intercession,
that we may cling more firmly each day
to your Only Begotten Son
and come at last to the fullness of his grace.
Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen."

This little downy must have bumped the window and was chilled when I came home from the post office. After holding a few minutes, some squawking and he was ready to be on his way.
Havia três andorinhas, duas juntas e uma sozinha.
E essa estava lá assim, tão tristinha, olhando para o mar;
parecia esperar a chegada da companheira...
A tarde passou, o sol baixou, e quando eu fui embora
ela ainda estava lá esperando, esperando...
There were three seagulls; twice together and one alone.
This one was so lonely, looking to the sea,
Looks like she was waiting for someone...
The afternoon passed, the sun leaved the sky and when I went out
She was still there, waiting, waiting...
Joshua Contemplates his future beneath a spectacular sunset on Roaring Point beach in Waterview, Maryland. USA. HDRi produced from a seven shot exposure bracket.
Captured this image of "Rodin's Thinker," at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, CA. I love the architecture of this beautiful building. Boy, do we all need to contemplate the world we live in today...Finished in LRCC, ON1, and Aurora HDR...

Alf sat and thought while I took this portrait, I asked afterwards what it was that he was thinking about...
His thoughts took him back some 70+ years to family holidays when he was a boy of 8 or 9. He and his sisters went with his parents to Southend, he remembered how his father always took the children to the Gasworks, because he believed the fumes were good for his children's health.
Just got out for a real quick session last nite. Trying to drum up some creepy crawlies or physiograms. Not much time to play.

A visitor to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts contemplates a fantastical glass chandelier by Dale Chihuly, part of the "Chihuly: Through the Looking Glass" exhibit.
The exhibit is closing soon and the rest of the family hadn't seen it yet so I used the excuse to visit once more while I had the chance. There's something very otherworldly about both the work and the exhibit itself. You really have to experience it first hand.
Unfortunately the crowds were crazy on a Sunday afternoon. Thank goodness we bought an MFA membership this year which spared us most of the lines for the exhibit!
