I went thrifting today on a hunt for lunch containers so that hubby and I can cease and desist the eating out thing. It has been really hard to pack a lunch with being on the road sometimes up to 10 hours per day, so I have been doing some big thinking on how I can take yummy food that stays hot (or cold) without having to fill a cooler with ice every day. My solution was insulated cups and containers, combined with frozen water bottles to keep things cold and drink as they melt throughout the day.
Mom and I went out thrifting today in search of containers and this was what we found! Even better was that I didn't realize I had a credit at the thrift store for $8, which more than covered the cost of the containers! There are plenty there for heated leftovers, dry goods, sandwiches, hot drinks, and smoothies. I'd say we're set, and it didn't cost us a thing.
