This was my biggest container in 2006. In the center is a spike (cordyline), and around it are two of each: gazania ("Talent Mix"), verbena ("Tukana Scarlet"), salvia ("Victoria Blue" - flowered late), vinca minor ("Illumination") and calibrachoa ("Million Bells Celebration Plum"). To my surprise, a sweet potato vine from last year emerged and wound its way up the spike. I thought I had dug out the tuber, and was impressed that a piece of it had survived the winter in an exposed container with no insulation.
This will be my new raised and contained strawberry garden. It's been very cold and windy. 37 to 40 F and wind. But I got outside and worked on this over the past few afternoons. All found objects already on hand. The only purchased items are the little green fence sections found on sale at Menards and the strawberry plants. I have 5 types of berries to plants, 48 or so plants so far. I may buy a few more. I had a lot of good aged chicken manure compost along with good soil to mix in and topped off with several partial bags of potting soil I had around here. I'll upload more pictures once they are planted and growing. We are half through april and I woke up to snow and ice on the ground this morning. Today is supposed to warm up to 67 and then stay in the 40s and 50s. So maybe spring has finally arrived? Our temperatures and spring bulbs are a month behind schedule. My only flowers so far are the crocus.
The work shows burnt paper containers. The destruction has given rise to new, vibrant colors, shapes and structures. It is precisely the painterly character that inspires my photography.

Nine shipping containers that hold some of the new signals that the BNSF will be putting up along the Aurora-Galesburg, IL "Mendota Sub" later in 2010. When the new signals are activated, the signal bridges in the distance, along with the old telegraph poles will be taken down.
Off the second floor kitchen. It's actually five hundred degrees outside right now and my lens is fogging up...I had to water these plants before they caught fire. Crisis averted.
The Priority RoRo Container Ship Island Express (and other ships in port) at Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. These were taken on a beautiful day (that had a few showers mixed in) on Wednesday February 19th, 2020. On board the Celebrity Equinox for Seth's Big Fat Broadway Cruise from February 15th to the 22nd, 2020. The itinerary includes stops in San Juan (Puerto Rico), Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands), Tortola (British Virgin Islands), Nassau (Bahamas) before returning to Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale, Florida). The best part is that we are on Seth's Big Fat Broadway Cruise again!
