The easiest way to find the best spot for a container garden in a slum is where people hang their laundry to dry. In slums like this one, finding space to grow vegetables is hard. Container cranes in the new Vuosaari port in Helsinki. the blue ones belong to Finnsteve and the yellow one to Steveco. Both are large operators in Finland. There will be at least eight cranes when the harbour is completed.
Foldable container for all you guys to make your very own. I also threw in some smaller crates so the paper you use isnt wasted. I would recommend printing it on a nice white cardstock or bristol board. Assembly should be pretty straightforward if youve folded one of the crates that comes with the Indiana Jones vehicles or even if you haven't. Glue or tape should probably be used to hold it nice and firm. If theres any problems let me know. and I can edit the file, otherwise feel free to edit yourself, improve upon or create your own container! Enjoy!

How precious are these containers that hold our lives, our celestial breath? Does the observation of why there are differences take precedence over the idea that we all came from the same form? Some cosmic birth which naturally changed, gave birth to the solar systems and stars, plants and animals near and far. Is it strange that we are all recycled back into the nothingness that gave us our form, our container, later to give something else a chance? Is it also strange that our celestial breath is passed on to one another like a unit of energy? I do not think its measured in Joules or Watts, nor is it measured in succes or dollars nor things collected throughout a lifetime, when Moth was drained of its life by Spider, did the transfer take into account the number of beats per second of its heart? Or the total number of flaps throughout its entire lifetime before that very instant of ending? Or perhaps the number of offspring it contributed to, or possibly the cost of making the container itself? Or was it a direct transfer, suchness of life energy.
How much are these containers a vehicle for our life energy to be energized and charged through different experiences? It seems that anything living wants to continue to live, but then again, what does it mean to be living?
Are there containers containing containers?
The result is a mix of sleek modern and industrial. The containers sit upon concrete and steel walls. The lower floor provides a covered carport an downstairs living area, kitchen, as well as access to a swimming pool out back.

These are images taken on the jettey at the colombo port shortly after this damaged 20 foot container was removed from the vessel, "Hatsu Smart". Oil can be seen dripping from the bottom of the container and there is a massive hole on the top.

26x16x6 inches and 34 quart capacity, this is Container #1. What the hell is the purpose you ask? The idea that started in my head had a single focus but in today’s world where the price of food may soon go thru the friggin roof, thanks to Obama’s Gestapo Regime, it now has become a two-fold purpose. But that’s another story for another time.
The goat is to build up a food supply for six months that when augmented with fresh fish, crabs and oysters I would have to come to port for only fuel, water or to pump out the holding tanks. This is the first of a planned 10 containers of dry goods. I have placed a few can good items in this one, but the rest of the containers will only hold dry goods.
I have no immediate plans for a trip, but my plans do put me headed to Key West by this time next year. So to ease the pain of supplying the boat right at the last moment when money may be tight and probably will be, I want to pack one of these a month.
Each one will vary in contents and strategically planned so that I don’t have to open them all at once. Each one of them will be labeled with the contents and indexed in a master file for ease of locating specific items. At this time next year I estimate the cost to have built this food stock to be appx. $800-1000. These containers are in addition to the canned meat and veggies that I also will be stocking, as they don’t need to be stored dry.
Inside of each container is a can of moisture control and each container is sealed close to airtight.
I would like to be able to sail to the Caribbean Islands and not have to ever tie to the dock if I so choose. Or at least have the ability to do so for six months. That is the ultimate goal.
Just on a side note…so as it doesn’t come as a big surprise to anyone. Everyone should have food stores. The possibility of needing them in the near future is very real.
