Eighth picture of the series Arch Of The Kings (Vertical view, very long exposure just a few minutes before sunrise).
Image dedicated to my friend Diego Maria Bertini, who has kindly created a story about the name of this great place, I hope you like it. (Below I attach the link to the story).

I share with you a picture of my last trip.
This location is very difficult to access, so there are so few photographs of the site.
That morning I traveled almost an hour by car to reach the Cala Flores and then, still in the dark with a headlamp in my head, climbed among the rocks on the shore and sometimes even bordering with waist-deep water access this beautiful and unknown place.
The name of this arc, none of the locals knew me explain, but if you look just to the right of the arch, can clearly see the outline of a face of an elderly person, perhaps coming from there.
The picture is a unique Raw, with only combining a neutral filter of ten steps and black card technique.
I hope you like it. Have a nice Wednesday. :)

Just experimenting with new textures. Liked the fence and wanted to try this texture..thought something interesting was going on here..but I am on the fence about it...LOL. Let me know if you think this is working or not ...happy Friday : )
Texture with thanks to Skeletal Mess
Created with WAN FUSIONX in comfyui. This was rendered at low quality. I avoided extending the video (you see it goes back to the same start point) as the quality degrades over time when you extend unless you have pre-generated high quality key-frames. It's something I'll try soon. This does use upscaling but even that isn't enough to avoid significant quality loss when extending the video.
the other issue i notice is elements not in the source image like hands don't get rendered perfectly. notice the redness on the fingers etc. otherwise not bad.
The source image was also created in comfyui. The song I made in SUNO.

Today I say good morning with this photograph of L'Hemisfèric right at the blue hour, inspired by a spaceship over the city, no photoshop effects only playing with the lights and reflections through a long exposure and zoming movements with several stops.
Regarding the technical part, it is a long exposure of 30 seconds using Canon equipment and the combination of a Filter Formatt Hitech Filters ND gradient smooth three stops and a ND of four stops, added to several movements of the ring of the zoom take the shot.
I hope you like it, delighted to read your comments with your opinion.
Have a nice Tuesday. ;)

The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in Arizona, United States. The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,093 feet or 1,857 meters).
The canyon and adjacent rim are contained within Grand Canyon National Park, the Kaibab National Forest, Grand Canyon–Parashant National Monument, the Hualapai Indian Reservation, the Havasupai Indian Reservation and the Navajo Nation. The surrounding area is contained within the Baaj Nwaavjo I'tah Kukveni – Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of the preservation of the Grand Canyon area and visited it on numerous occasions to hunt and enjoy the scenery.
Nearly two billion years of Earth's geological history have been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut their channels through layer after layer of rock while the Colorado Plateau was uplifted. While some aspects about the history of incision of the canyon are debated by geologists, several recent studies support the hypothesis that the Colorado River established its course through the area about 5 to 6 million years ago. Since that time, the Colorado River has driven the down-cutting of the tributaries and retreat of the cliffs, simultaneously deepening and widening the canyon.
For thousands of years, the area has been continuously inhabited by Native Americans, who built settlements within the canyon and its many caves. The Pueblo people considered the Grand Canyon a holy site, and made pilgrimages to it. The first European known to have viewed the Grand Canyon was García López de Cárdenas from Spain, who arrived in 1540.

Grand Canyon National Park is a national park of the United States located in northwestern Arizona, the 15th site to have been named as a national park. The park's central feature is the Grand Canyon, a gorge of the Colorado River, which is often considered one of the Wonders of the World. The park, which covers 1,217,262 acres (1,901.972 sq mi; 4,926.08 km2) of unincorporated area in Coconino and Mohave counties, received more than 4.7 million recreational visitors in 2023. The Grand Canyon was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. The park celebrated its 100th anniversary on February 26, 2019.

Entirely within the state of Arizona, the park encompasses 278 miles (447 km) of the Colorado River and adjacent uplands. Located on the ancestral homelands of 11 present day Tribal Communities, Grand Canyon is one of the most spectacular examples of erosion anywhere in the world—a mile deep canyon unmatched in the incomparable vistas it offers visitors from both north and south rims.

Contained in everything I do
There's a love, I feel for you
Proclaimed in everything I write
You're the light
Burning, brightly
Onward through the night
Onward through the night
Onward through the night of my life
Displayed in all the things I see
There's a love you show to me
Portrayed in all the things you say
You're the day
Leading the way
Onward through the night
Onward through the night
Onward through the night of my life...

I thought this was a good example of Mother Nature's version of "contained". These are seeds of the milkweed plant. They are contained in the seed pod until the end of summer and then the pods bursts open and they are carried away with the slightest breath of wind. They are just another example of nature's wondrous perfection. This seed pod was close to 3 inches long but I couldn't fit the entire pod in my macro.
Contrails - NOT chemtrails
Jets leave white trails, or contrails, in their wakes for the same reason you can sometimes see your breath. The hot, humid exhaust from jet engines mixes with the atmosphere, which at high altitude is of much lower vapor pressure and temperature than the exhaust gas. The water vapor contained in the jet exhaust condenses and may freeze, and this mixing process forms a cloud very similar to the one your hot breath makes on a cold day.
Jet engine exhaust contains carbon dioxide, oxides of sulfur and nitrogen, unburned fuel, soot and metal particles, as well as water vapor. The soot provides condensation sites for the water vapor. Any particles present in the air provide additional sites.
Depending on a planes altitude, and the temperature and humidity of the atmosphere, contrails may vary in their thickness, extent and duration. The nature and persistence of jet contrails can be used to predict the weather. A thin, short-lived contrail indicates low-humidity air at high altitude, a sign of fair weather, whereas a thick, long-lasting contrail reflects humid air at high altitudes and can be an early indicator of a storm.
The mixing gases contained in the contrail rotate with respect to the ambient air. These regions of rotating flow are called vortices. (Any sharp surface, such as the tip of a wing, can cause vortical flow in its wake if it is sufficiently large or the flow is sufficiently fast.) On occasion, these trailing vortices may interact with one another.
In one well-known example of this fact, the Crow Instability causes the vortices to develop symmetric sinusoidal oscillations and eventually to merge and form vortex rings behind the jet. This instability can be triggered by turbulence in the surrounding air or by local variation in air temperature or density, which may itself be the result of the stratification of the atmosphere. When the contrails are visible and strong, it is possible to see the white streaks become wavy and then leave rings floating high in the sky, like smoke rings from a giant cigar.
Recent research has suggested that the ice clouds contained in contrails cause greenhouse effects and contribute to global warming as part of the insulating blanket of moisture and gases in the atmosphere. Researchers in this area seized on the opportunity presented on September 11 and 12 over the U.S. The complete cessation of commercial air traffic offered a control sky without contrails for use in quantifying the environmental effects of contrails.

Dolbadarn Castle, Llanberis, Gwynedd, North Wales.
[ Mid 12th century ]And old Vivian slate quarry in the foreground
Former Vivian slate quarry, Llanberis
The tall gash in the hillside here was the Vivian slate quarry, a self-contained part of the Dinorwig quarry complex. It was named after quarry manager WW Vivian (see below).
Initial quarrying here, in the 1870s, went downwards. The galleries you can see today were formed as slate extraction proceeded upwards. Slate on small railway wagons went from the galleries to the inclines left of the quarry which carried the loaded wagons down. Waste slate was hauled along the hillside to the bridge in front of the quarry hospital, where it passed over the Padarn Railway (now the Llanberis Lake Railway) for dumping at the lake shore.
Quarrying here finished in 1960. The quarry pit became the deep lagoon now used by the Vivian Dive Centre. Divers can see surviving quarry huts and other equipment deep under the surface.
Above the lagoon is an aerial ropeway with a quarry wagon suspended from a “Blondin” device, named after French tightrope walker Charles Blondin who performed in Caernarfon’s Pavilion in 1878. This equipment raised slate from the lower levels. You can view one of these wagons outside Llanberis’ Spar store.
Portrait of Walter Warwick VivianThe Hon Walter Warwick Vivian (pictured right) was appointed manager of Dinorwig Quarry in 1884, aged 28. His background contrasted with that of the quarrymen. His parents were Sir Charles Crespigny Vivian (2nd baron Vivian) and heiress Mary Elizabeth Panton of Plas Gwyn, Pentraeth, Anglesey. Two of his nieces were maids of honour to Queen Alexandra. One of them designed the historic Cestyll Garden, Anglesey, after Walter gave her the property.
Walter’s wealth and influence did not give him the experience or skills necessary to manage a slate quarry, and he displayed a haughty arrogance to the workmen. Matters came to a head barely a year after his appointment when, during the Dinorwig lock-out and strike of 1885-1886, he was forcibly turned out of the quarry by a large jeering crowd.
However, Walter remained manager until his retirement in 1902. The deciding factor in his appointment may have been his family connection to Dinorwig quarry owner George William Duff Assheton-Smith, whose sister was married to Walter’s half-brother, Hussey Crespigny Vivian.
Walter died on 15 September 1943, aged 87, at the Glynn estate, Bangor. His niece Dorothy, widow of controversial war commander Douglas Haig, had lived and died there in 1939. Walter left £100,666 (c.£4.5m today), mostly inherited by his niece Violet..
A short series of shots of items stacked and parked, at Southampton Docks, giving what I thought was a surreal view.
My last two photographs from my trip to the upper Derwent Valley are more intimate and give prominence to the characters of the trees that dominate the land immediately around the reservoirs.
In some ways I love these images more than the dramatic vistas from above the valley.

Loved the design on these tulips (and their Canadian Flag colours!). Outside the Copper Sky condominiums in Steveston, B.C.
As Harris Hui mentions in the comments below, these tulips were specially bred for Canada's 150th Birthday. Makes me appreciate them even more! : )
