I toted the trash can over to Mama Rose's house and we got the black gold in there, mixed it up with the dirt already in there, and now we are so ready for our vegetable garden.

After a heavy snow, we were not able to get to our home-made compost box in the backyard for awhile. This is what we saw when we looked inside. We found it quite beautiful.

The easy way to compost -- just bury the scraps and let the worms eat

It pretty much looks like this all the time since I continually add new layers on top.

Interesting slime mold growing on an old door mat I have sitting on top of the composting mass.

To prevent rot, the skiers applied a hearty coating of Swix, the official wax and gear sponsor of the GRP. At presstime, none would comment on the wax technology at work in hopes of retaining their competitive advantage.

compostables are nestled between two layers of netting. items break down over time and feed plants at base. I'm guessing that I could eventually put plants into the fence!
