Volunteers from Shropshire trying to educate people to compost their kitchen waste

Compost Cadet (or Compost Cop, as the Youth like to call it)! The badges are to show everyone they're on duty and they are taking notes on the recycling and composting behavior of residents.

Our compost turner allows us to maintain aerobic conditions to facilitate a healthy breakdown process, and also to inject water as needed.

The vertical tumbling action of the patented Tumbleweed Compost Bin, designed with a stainless steel rod running through the middle, creates an aerobic action that offers a quick and odorless form of composting.

As part of the new less labour-intensive composting system, we now have compost drop-off bins, where everything from the hoophouses (from weeding) ends up. This is then transfered to large compost piles, like the one under the green cloth in the background.

Our three bin compost system is finished and Nathan is moving stuff over from the old compost bin we had. Project Yummy Veggies continues!

Homemade This was made in bucket half filled with water the rest filed with compost. It will sit for 10 to 14 days then I will strain the mix for varoius other recipes as well. When mixed with molassas and orange tea it make a excellent fire ant drench, which wipes out entire mounds of the liitle boogers it cost an lot less than the expensive chemicals you buy

The humble beginnings of our au naturalle compost heap down in the corner of the garden.
