This is a small video clip about the Compositional Principles made by Chanel Higashi and Annique Daquep

Balade sur Le GR34 autour de Telgruc dans la presqu'île de Crozon en Bretagne. Algues à marée basse.

Prague - architectural detail.

I chose this photo because it had multiple elements of composition and the mood was fun and upbeat. I love the monochromatic blues that take up a majority of the photograph. It really draws a lot of focus to my subject since she adds a break to the blues and adds new colors. The elements of composition I used in this photo are simplicity, framing, and rule of thirds. The only subjects I wanted in this photo was my model and the monkey bars in order to achieve simplicity. It also helped that there were no clouds or birds so the only two things that are prevalent are the two subjects I wanted. I also used the monkey bars as a frame for my model to keep the photo more dynamic. I used the larger side lines to frame her body and then the smaller monkey bar part to frame her face. Lastly, I tired to put my model's head on the lower right third to draw the most attention to that part of her. I was in shutter priority mode for this photo and since my camera was pointed directly at the sky, I had a very high shutter speed so my photo would be properly exposed. The aperture corrected itself and was actually fairly low which gave me a good amount of exposure. In Lightroom, I did increase the overall exposure a little bit so I could see my model's face. I also lightened the shadows and the whites to really bring out her face and the details there. I made the blacks a little darker to add depth back to the photo and make it less flat. I changed the hue of the blue to be more on the light blue side rather than aqua. I also increased the saturation but decreased the luminance to make the monkey bars stand out against the light blue sky.

"Composition: You already know what the rule of thirds is, now is the time to use it. Use Rule of Thirds to show motion in your picture."
