This piece of work was created using collage materials that linked to projects theme of ‘Identity’. I experimented with overlapping images, paper cut and adding drawn elements into the collage to attract the audiences eye to both of the figures faces. Composition and layout also play a key role in this piece of work.
We told stories in Week 22 using Diptychs and Triptychs.
This collage features photos from participating members. Find out more at Compositionally Challenged, where we aim to inspire creativity and improve our technical skills.

Becuase of Anita Baker, I love daffodils. When I see them, I remeber riding the bus on Sunday mornings to work when I was a teenager listening to her "Compositions" album
"Like water flows down from a hill
And yellow grows on daffodils
I'm gonna learn to love you better
To the letter, baby
Like morning dew on southern pines
And honey that bees leave behind
I'm gonna love you sweet to the letter
You'll find no better"
1990 - Anita Baker - "Love You to the Letter"

Carte de visite by John Cadwallader of Toledo, Ohio. Two children pose in an artful composition featuring a mallet, wood boxes (one open with an unidentified object visible), and the handle of what may be a toy. The kids sit on a carpeted platform.
Born in Ohio in 1826, photographer John Cadwallader practiced his craft for more than four decades according to the George Eastman Museum. Starting out in Maysville, Ky., in 1856, he operated out of Toledo, Detroit, and Indianapolis until the 1890s with galleries in Madison, and Richmond, Ind. For a timeline, visit pic.nypl.org/constituents/286470. Cadwallader went on to become a farmer in Des Moines, Iowa. He took his own life by jumping out of the second story of the local Methodist hospital on Jan. 9, 1906. According to a newspaper report, Cadwallader had become despondent over his ill health. He was 80 years old.
His brother, James Dallas Cadwallader (1828-1905) also worked as a photographer.
