Athletes, coaches, volunteers and law enforcement meet at The University of Nevada Reno for the 2014 Special Olympics Nevada Summer Games.
The field portion included shot put, javelin, triple jump, standing long jump and softball toss.

This event had to be the best event for Countyline yet. They had a new track set up, which led to higher speed entry's. A lot of the drivers stepped their game up and drove amazing.

L’Università di Pavia ha aderito all’edizione 2024 della Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, organizzata dagli Atenei facenti parte del gruppo di Coimbra.
La 3MT competition è un evento in cui gli studenti di dottorato delle Università aderenti presentano i risultati delle loro ricerche in 3 minuti, con una singola slide e utilizzando un linguaggio che renda la presentazione accessibile a un pubblico ampio e variegato. La competizione si divide in due fasi, una locale e una finale, allargata alle Università aderenti.
Il giorno 13 marzo 2024 alle ore 17:30, presso l’Aula Magna dell’Università, si è tenuta la selezione locale dell’Università di Pavia, la miglior performance di dottorandi pavesi da inviare al gruppo di Coimbra.
L’evento aperto alla comunità accademica pavese. I candidati si “sono sfidati” presentando in tre minuti i risultati della loro ricerca; sono stati realizzati brevi filmati di ciascuna presentazione.
Il filmato che verrà inviato alla successiva fase di selezione verrà scelto dal Comitato Organizzatore insieme al pubblico presente, che potrà votare la performance ritenuta migliore.

My friend Dwayne owns a shop selling skates as well as teaching skating classes. To promote his various interests he held a power-sliding competition in Weinan, Shaanxi, China.
I took along a couple of YN460 strobes, my 5D Mark II , 24-105mm F4 and my 135L.
It was very crowded which made getting good shots tough, especially with the longer 135L.

Whilst away on holiday (photos to follow...although this was actually shot there too), I entered what I must explain was a very small photography competition...and won! First thing I've entered...so I'm rather pleased with myself. See my other two images from today and be amazed by the sheer pile of cash that was my reward ;)
