Before a bench composed of ICC Judge Sylvia Steiner (presiding), ICC Judge Olga Venecia Herrera Carbuccia and Legal Officer Alejandro Kiss, the teams competed on a fictitious case, presenting oral arguments during an appeals hearing in the roles of Prosecution, Defence and Legal Representatives of Victims.
Saturday 29 April saw the first Greater Manchester Volunteer Police Cadet Competition.
Cadets from units across the Force – along with a group from Derbyshire Constabulary – competed in a series of scenario-based tests and a drill competition.
The Blackley unit won the overall prize with cadets from Trafford wining the drill test.
The event took place at the Force’s Sedgley Park Centre with The Lord Mayor of Manchester, Cllr Carl Austin-Behan and the High Sherriff of Greater Manchester Kui Man Gerry Yeung attending as guests of Honour.
Chief Constable Ian Hopkins presented the main award.

Am so very proud of my daughter (Kiersten) who plays trumpet for the Kentridge High School Jazz Band. They played in a competition at Bellevue College against nationally ranked schools like Seattle's Garfield and Roosevelt. This page was a collection of quick sketches done throughout the day.
