Competed today in my first powerlifting meet. I won first place in the Law & Fire Division and the Novice Division setting North Carolina records in the Squat and Deadlift. 220lb weight class. body weight 213.2.
Soldiers competed for the title of Region 5 Best Warrior May 7-12 at Camp Crowder, Missouri. Soldiers from Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas are competing to determine who will represent Region V at the 2023 National Best Warrior Competition. Participants will test their physical, mental, and psychological limits over a 5-day period. Each day warriors will face vigorous tests including the Army Combat Fitness Test, 12-mile ruck march, obstacle course, and stress shoot, among other events.

Army JROTC Cadets competing in the 2024 JROTC Leadership Bowl found time to explore the National Mall and Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C. on June 18. A highlight for many of the Cadets was watching Tomb Guard Sentinels at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and witnessing the Changing of the Guard. The second event—Blind Man's Fluff...
Contestants compete in pairs. One partner is blindfolded and stands behind the other, who's kneeling or seated at the table, his/her hands behind their back. In front of them is a knife, some Fluff, some peanut butter, and two slices of bread. The blindfolded player puts his/her arms thru the partner's. The seated partner guides the blindfolded one in making the Fluffernutter sandwich. Once the sandwich is made, the blindfolded player feeds it to the partner. Good times!
