The photographer who took this enigmatic picture inside ESA’s Maxwell Test Chamber – used for assessing the electromagnetic compatibility of entire satellites – has been shortlisted by the Sony World Photography Awards for architecture and still-life photography.
Once the chamber’s main door is sealed, Maxwell’s 9 m-high metal walls form a ‘Faraday Cage’, blocking electromagnetic signals from outside. The ‘anechoic’ foam pyramids covering its interior absorb internal signals – as well as sound – to prevent any reflection, mimicking the infinite void of space. Then a satellite can be switched on to detect any harmful interference as its various elements operate together.

The beauty of my new Pentax K5 is the backwards compatibility of the lenses... I managed to get a SMC 50mm f1.4 for £60, second hand... It takes a bit of learning and searching online to get the hang of manually setting it up, but it is cracking little lens... and a lot cheaper than a new 50mm...

Where light finds feathers - Today’s session focused on a compatibility test between the Nikon AF-S TC-14E III Teleconverter and the NIKKOR 500mm PF, paired with the Nikon Z8.
The test was carried out in both shaded and open light conditions, with particular attention to feather detail, contrast, and AF stability.
Conditions were challenging — temperatures slightly below average, but a sharp, face-cutting wind made it feel well below freezing.
All images were captured in natural light, under real field conditions.

When it comes down to scale modeling with Legos a lot has happened over the last years. Its more and more recognized as a true scale modelers medium, and I think that is great. About three years ago I decided to build more different things then only the trucks that I had built so far. I built Harley Davidsons, Hot rods, and started with trains.
After the two big 1:16 scaled American diesels, I thought it would be nice to have something dynamic for events: A true scale locomotive on actual Lego rail gauge. I opted for the Union Pacific Big Boy: (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_Pacific_Big_Boy).
There are already many models of this type of locomotive but I wanted one for myself as it has always appealed to me since I was a kid. I did some math calculating back from the Lego track gauge, coming to a 1:38 scale.
Building such a big locomotive to run on Lego rail is a bit of a challenge. I had to deal with the following facts:
-The standard Lego curve is too tight for such a long locomotive. Therefor I choose the Radius 104 aftermarket rail.
-The wheels are not existing as such. In diameter 45 mm there is nothing available from the shelf. I worked together with Jaap Kroon to design and 3D print a set of custom wheels. To make it look more realistic I chose to add the valve gear as well. We designed the valve gear with Lego compatibility in the back of our heads. It should not become too fine compared to the bricks.
-Power. This thing is heavy. And it has a lot of batteries to add to the weight. The solution was three genuine Lego Power Functions XL engines directly geared to the axles of the tender. I chose the tender to push the locomotive as it was much more convenient to house the engines and batteries there. In order to get all the ‘juice’ to the engine I chose a regular RC Battery pack and the Tamiya connector was hooked up to a PF cable. To control it I mounted a SBrick, so there is no restriction of battery power in the whole system.
-Lights. I wanted to add some realistic lights as well. Initially I wanted a smoke generator but the proper 5V kit was not available anymore, so I dropped it (for now). Rob from Brickstuff.com supplied a very cool lightkit for the locomotive.
It includes a dimmer for the contour lights. All in all there is about 2 meters of wire in the locomotive. It took me about 2.5 months to finish.

Our Faron Set includes a chair and table that has a hud with 16 colours and 5 metals. This can be mixed and matched with the hud allowing each part of the table and chair to be changed to different shades if desired.
The animations are bento and the adult version has Aeros and It's Not Mine compatibility - including a cleaning menu after getting messy with It's not Mine!
The Seat is 3Li and the table is 3Li. Both are copy/mod.

The second generation Crown Victoria was introduced in 1998 with revised exterior styling, rear suspension and ignition system. The 1998-02 models featured revised 4 link rear suspension with a Watts linkage improving the cars road holding.
As with the previous generation many were sold to Police Departments. The previous cars entitled P71 which was changed to Police Interceptor for the second generation. These came with black front grille and black rear fascia on the boot lid. The 1999 and 2000 versions have a blacked out version of the standard chrome grille, While the 2001 on models have a black honeycomb type grille. They also have several heavy duty mechanical upgrades.
The 2004–2011 Police Interceptor is rated for 186.5 kW (254 PS; 250 hp) mostly due to the addition of a new better flowing air intake system. This system includes a new airbox that is similar to the Mercury Marauder airbox with an integrated 80 mm (3.1 in) mass airflow (MAF) sensor that is part of the airbox lid (but can be serviced individually). This allows for much more precise flow calibration and reduces the chances of air leakage Standard on the 2006 is a redesigned instrument cluster, which now sports an analog speedometer, tachometer, digital odometer with hour meter and trip meter features, and cross-compatibility with the civilian version's. plus . For 2008, the Crown Victoria is restricted to fleet-only sales, and all Panther-platform cars are now flex-fuel cars. The CVPI receives some new options, such as the ability to have keyless entry. Presumably, this feature was added because the Chevrolet Impala Police Sedan has had keyless entry as an option since its inception.

Mercy is underway off the coast of Southern California completing Dynamic Interface Testing, where the ship’s aviation facilities will be evaluated for compatibility with the V-22 Osprey and MH-60 Seahawk, and establish launch and recovery windows in adverse weather conditions. Mercy recently returned to its homeport in San Diego from a regular overhaul in Portland, Ore., where improvements were made to its flight deck to support multiple aircraft platforms.
