405 Lexington Avenue, Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA
The Chrysler Building is an Art Deco-style skyscraper located on the East Side of Midtown Manhattan in New York City, at the intersection of 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue in the Turtle Bay neighborhood. At 1,046 feet (318.9 m), the structure was the world's tallest building for 11 months before it was surpassed by the Empire State Building in 1931.
It is the tallest brick building in the world, albeit with a steel frame.

I decided to look at my digital archives, to recover and reprocess some old straight-out-of the point and shoot camera jpgs.
I'll post one picture every thursday, with the motto "Great places, bad cameras"

View from the tiny Byzantine church of Panagia Tsambika, Archangelos, Rhodes, Greece
Tsambika is an 800 meters long beach of fine pure sand, gently shelving on the east coast of the island of Rhodes. Distant at about 26 km from the capital, this pure-sand beach has survived from permanent development as most of the land is owned by the Orthodox Church. In fact, at the north end of the beach, on a sharp peak overlooking the beach, there is the church of Panagià Tsambika.

Hello my friends!
Took this shot early in the morning :-)
There was a steady mist over the water (& shoreline) from the time I arrived, 03:10, until I left at 05:30.
The sun continually battled the clouds and began to reflect upon the water just about the time I visited one of my favorite piers... so I came away with this, which I'm happy to share with you guys today
: )

Thank you guys so much :-)

Park Avenue Trailhead, Arches National Park, Moab, Utah, USA
The Park Avenue Trail is one of the first major attractions within Arches National Park. It is a one-mile trail that follows the bottom of a canyon at the feet of some of the park’s gigantic and well-known monoliths.
The Park Avenue Trail is most aptly named for New York City’s famous street. Early travelers noticed a similarity between these sandstone spires and the famous skyscrapers along New York’s Park Avenue, and the name stuck. The main difference, of course, is that the “skyscrapers” of Arches National Park were sculpted by nature.

Last Photo for a while... Frosty Bench Pier Sunrise
☺ Hello dear friends!
I'll be away traveling again soon... so I wanted to upload something before going :-)
Quick note: They tore down the old pier I used to visit & photograph often... due to it becoming weakened over time... and yeah, I was incredibly surprised to find it gone one morning while visiting.
So I kept returning until I found them building a new one there... which is what I've photographed above. They also added a bench to the new pier, which gives new opportunities when shooting.
You can see my earlier photos of the old pier here:

This pic is dedicated to all the wonderful friends here (all of you!)... your visits & heartfelt comments truly make the days brighter :-) Thank you all so much!
My fave bits of this photo are the frosty crystals accumulated on the seat of the bench... and also the different tones in the morning sky. It's always wonderful to watch those golds & blues change as the sun starts to rise :-) Hope you guys enjoy it too :-)
I'm not expecting to fully return to Flickr until October, but I will check in from time to time :-)
I'll miss you guys... but will be back soon as I can : )
So please, sit a while and enjoy the sunrise...
☺
