A fairly normal photo otherwise, I found this one particularly worth taking just because of the range of the colours.
It was a lovely moment, just fitting well in the holiday mood, on Tioman Island.

Μία σειρά από φωτογραφίες που τράβηξα στα Πομακοχώρια. Πομακοχώρια ονομάζονται τα χωριά στον ορεινό όγκο της Ροδόπης με Πομακικό πληθυσμό, κατά κύριο λόγο. Στην Ελλάδα, Πομακοχώρια συναντάμε στους νομούς Ξάνθης, Ροδόπης και Έβρου. Λόγω του ορεινού χαρακτήρα της περιοχής αλλά και των προβλημάτων της μειονοτικής εκπαίδευσης, τα Πομακοχώρια είναι αρκετά απομονωμένα και έχουν διατηρήσει το γραφικό χαρακτήρα τους, την παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική των σπιτιών και τον ιδιαίτερο πολιτισμό των Πομάκων. Σημαντικότερη οικονομική δραστηριότητα των κατοίκων των Πομακοχωρίων είναι η καλλιέργεια και η πρωτοβάθμια επεξεργασία καπνού[1], και συγκεκριμένα, του αρωματικού μπασμά, που είχε κάνει διάσημη την περιοχή της Ανατολικής Μακεδονίας και Θράκης τον 19ο αιώνα, με το όνομα "καπνός Μακεδονίας". Στα περισσότερα Πομακοχώρια του νομού Ροδόπης η πομακική γλώσσα μιλιέται πια μόνο από τους γεροντότερους και έχει αντικατασταθεί από την τουρκική [2]. Σύμφωνα με το ταξιδιωτικό οδηγό της Lonely Planet "Greece" στο άρθρο για την περιοχή της Ξάνθης αναφέρει ότι στα πομακοχώρια οι κάτοικοι μιλάνε πολύ καλά τρεις γλώσσες: τα Βουλγαρικά, τα Τουρκικά και τα Ελληνικά.
A series of photographs I took in Pomakochoria. Pomakochoria called villages in the Rodopi mountain with Pomak population, primarily. Colas Rail 70817 past Skelton Bridge Jn, North of York on a very gloomy day with the sky covered in clouds. Weather yesterday in York was lovely, barely a cloud in sight, however the weather is becoming more unpredictable especially over the next few days. 70817 was on 6D43 Jarrow Shell - Lindsey Oil Refinery which I just missed yesterday in the boiling sun.
