Been fun experimenting with these......find this shot interesting seeing so many geometric shapes.....!!......and played in photo shop thinking I might enhance the shapes......but liked the original the best.
Thanks for all your comments.....I've only used dishsoap so far......but think it would be fun trying bath bubbles too......really want to play with floating bubbles when it gets warmer.....!
I have been wanting to try this shot for some time now and had my first attempt of it about three weeks, however prior to me taking that shot, I took a fall and unknown at the time I had a fractured on two of my ribs…unfortunately I did not get the shot as I could not stand still…
Three weeks later, I thought I would give it another go…I am actually standing on some sort of rock…I got someone to flash me…we then put the lens cap back on, placed an ice fountain between my fingers and set it a light, then removed the cap and repeated this process with my other hand and foot. As my foot was the last bit to hold the ice fountain I was able to leave it longer and get more of a downward flame/sparkle.
I then took the image into PS and used the content aware fill to take out the rock and used the clone tool to make a few adjustments on what was left over. There was some random sparks that came away from the ice fountains and I used the smudge tool to bring it back and tidy it up and to give it a glow effect around the flames coming out my hand.
I know the arc reactor missing but once my core strength comes back I shall try it again, might need to pop to toys r us to buy one, but for now I am going to say that I am on extremis…lol
Looks great when you press 'L'

Missed the Quornflake express tonight as it left at 6pm so had a return visit to a local red brick tunnel that I have shot on a couple of previous occasions. I have had some great sessions here in the past. One of the memorable ones being when AndWhyNot said that the moon was coming out. "That's the fecking sun coming up Andrew, I'm off home" I said.@ 4:20am !
This is called nausea as I had to spin the led orb, then the fire orb, locate the wool kit, whirl the sparks around the floor then fumble about for a stone that I'd placed as a marker before crafting a dome. Then try to locate my torch whilst staggering around in a dizzy sick drunkeness ! Bloody ridiculous and I still feel sick as I write this.
The top of the flame orb is a bit overexposed but I'm not going through all that again.

An area of the 'small playground' where the tots have been exploring light and shadows. The tunnel was added recently by Geoff Norton of 'Yorkshire Hurdles' and the children love it!!

One from July's nocturnal collaboration missions with Quornflake at the derelict brickworks. This place was closed about 15 years ago and stinks of decay and old oil. Asbestos roofs abound and are broken and collapsed with years worth of dust no doubt drifting about.
The in joke is "always make sure you change your lens in a dust free environment" ! :) How my D300 is not full of dust and sand is beyond me.
I just love the illuminated broken glass. Delicious.
Illuminated glasshouse, seen as part of the The Electric Gardens
event running in the Botanic Gardens, Glasgow, Scotland, February 2015.
I had bought some new spicy jars and I thought before I feel them up, I would have a little fun in them.
I used my LED keyring to light each jar up from the right hand side, over and back down the left hand side that way I knew I was covering the whole jar. I put the lens cap back on for a bit and then added a bit of wire wool in the middle of the jars and lighter gel around the rim of each jar and set it a light and removed the lens cap. I took a sparkler and shaved it down till it was just dust and then tried to sprinkle it over the flames but it only work on one jar on top and a little in the middle of another jar.
Little adjustments to the contrast, highlights and clarity in LR.

You see Forest Fires on TV around the world but when it is on your doorstep its something else...
Walking around this morning in the aftermath you do not realise how much rubbish people leave just laying around...Looks like it is a Dr Pepper can...what is there tag line again??
Could not believe that after two days the forest is still smoking...
I was going to leave it as black & white but I thought I would leave a little colour in there and increase some of the oranges in LR.

I wanted to follow my previous upload of the museum with something that continues the theme of modern design and I found this pic.
I took this shot at a temporary open air public art installation during my stay in Sydney, Australia.
It had been raining earlier that evening and the consequence of that was (1) the bad weather kept most people away and (2) I was able to capture this pleasing reflection off the wet pavement.
I'm surprised I never uploaded this before.
I hope you like it!

Some of my best friends are from Germany. These aren't my best friends on Flickr. They are my best friends. Andreas and Brigitte are a couple with a close friend in dear Sonia.
Andreas is going to come to visit this next year and I'm really looking forward to his visit. A man of great knowledge and personality whose letters are filled with wisdom and laughter.
He specializes in portrait photography and I hope to join his new venture "MSA Photography" in the next years. All the best, my dear friend!
