Christmas tree with lights at dusk in the Market Place at Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England.
I’d just like to wish all of my calendar & jigsaw customers and image & print buyers a very happy and peaceful Christmas and Happy New Year for 2021!
Many thanks to everyone that bought one of my 2021 calendars and helped raise money for Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity, Leeds Cares and Yorkshire Air Ambulance this year. Together we’ve raised £300 this time with over £240 due to Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity alone!
I’d also like to say a big thank you to everyone that supported my new jigsaws project and helped a small business through this challenging year.
Best wishes
Mark

The photos shown here were taken at night with my Nokia Cell Phone while touring this famous Cactus Garden at night, part of the setting surrounding the Ethel M Chocolate Factory. The gardens are free to tour to all visitors, you can enter the Chocolate Factory first for a quick tour and enjoy some samples, then go and see the lights during the Holiday Season. They are wonderful and whimsical and take quite a while to tour throughout. These photos are just a few samples of what to see at night.
Projected patterns on the paths as part of the Christmas lights at Blenheim Palace, Woodstock.

I took a load of shots of this little usb plug in fan that spins and changes colours. I got this effect doing the zoom burst thing with my lens. The results were varied but I liked the vortex ones best.
I'll most likely add a few more. It was fun :)

A lovely lot of ladies enjoying themselves in Liverpool's famous Mathew Street, just across from the Cavern Club.

The Shard is an 87-storey skyscraper in London that forms part of the London Bridge Quarter development. The Shard's construction began in March 2009; it was topped out on 30 March 2012 and inaugurated on 5 July 2012. Practical completion was achieved in November 2012. Its privately operated observation deck, the View from the Shard, opened to the public on 1 February 2013.
Standing approximately 306 metres high, the Shard is currently the tallest building in the European Union. It is the second-tallest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom, after the concrete tower at the Emley Moor transmitting station. The glass-clad pyramidal tower has 72 habitable floors, with a viewing gallery and open-air observation deck – the UK's highest – on the 72nd floor, at a height of 244.3 metres. It was designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, and replaced Southwark Towers, a 24-storey office block built on the site in Southwark in 1975.
Tonight the Flickrites were out in force... We went to Liverpool Cathedral for a Twlight Tour of the tower. Amazing views in all directions and the weather was kind to us.
This is the view along Hope Street towards the Metropolitan Cathedral.
